I got this idea after implementing a suggestion for MAtmos.
It allows you to tweak the Note Blocks in Singleplayer very easily by panning your mouse up and down. It also displays the note you're aiming at (using two notations).
The video is self-explanatory, you can understand what this mod is about by watching the first 10 seconds.

Older version for 1.6.6 r1: MediaFire via Google URL Shortener: http://goo.gl/fqFG6
Additional notes
A non-demonstrated feature allows to display the note of the block you're looking at.
Install notes
- Does NOT work in SMP, and chances that it will ever work in SMP are low at the moment. Installing this mod will not cause dysfunction in SMP (it will just disable itself).
- Requires ModLoader. Caution: ModLoader currently conflicts with BetterGrass. The sides of the blocks that BetterGrass tweaks will be replaced with a grey texture. This conflict will not crash the game.
- Modifies pp.class (which is for developers, BlockNote.java)
- This only affects client files, and will not cause dysfunction in SMP.
To install, put the contents of the archive into (Operating system Roaming folder)/.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar.
(If you know what you're doing, you can put the archive in (Operating system Roaming folder)/.minecraft/mods/ folder.)
Where is (Operating system Roaming folder) located on Windows/Mac/Linux/BSD?:
(Operating system Roaming folder) is where Minecraft save data in installed. You can usually find the location of this folder by doing this: Run Minecraft Launcher, and then DON'T LOG IN, but press the Options button above the Login button. The location should be written and accessible in the popup that opens there.
On Windows, this is usually located in %appdata%/.minecraft.
On Mac, it should be on ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft where ~ is your username.
Caution, it can get tricky. You can also refer to this post (thank you shadowbottle!).
On Linux/BSD, perform a "locate .minecraft", it should do it.
These folders should match:
- .minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar[/mod_NoteSlide.class]
- .minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar[/pp.class]
Troubleshooting and questions
How do we use it?
Aim at a note block, and right-click on it. Then, look up or down slowly. When satisfied with your note, either right click again, or walk away.
Can we at least show the notes in SMP by aiming?
Sorry, for technical reasons, this is currently not possible, it will show the wrong note (no solutions have been found yet).

Feel free to appreciate.
Maybe write a brief quick explanation (above the video) on it instead of saying "watch the video"?
=D
