I'm stuck on 1.4.7 because of the lack of updates to RedPower, i know about the project red, but I like the tubes, frames, microblocs. It's regrettable the red power mod abandoned.
She could choose someone to continue the project if no longer have Intent to update it.

For frames look at Redstone in Motion. Microblocks look at Immibis's Microblocks or Forge Microblocks. For wiring and logic gates Immibis's RedLogic.
The tubes have yet to get a good replacement, various tube/pipe including mods are improving but nothing exactly like RP2's tubes yet. Some of the latest BuildCraft stuff is including sorting by color and such but it is still a push priority system not a pull based one as in RP2.
As for someone continuing the project that is what KingLemming did with Thermal Expansion (staying on for direction, management, and occasional code), she could easily do the same I'm sure if she wanted but it is obvious that RP2 is no longer a high priority to her right now.

TE3 Item Conduits have some similarities to RP2 tubes, in that the backstuff rather than spilling. It's all very much in development at the moment, and they don't have any sorting capability yet.

KL already had a team, I think TE has been a group project for a long time. It's difficult to hand over one person's labour of love to a team.

Thanks for the reply, already installed 1.6.4, I put most of the mods already used, and am testing Redstone in Motion, and several others. I'll still keep playing 1.4.7, I have a good world, I will not abandon him, but I'm going to start with 1.6.4, thanks again.
Is it still possible to ask about adding redpower to private packs here? I'm looking to include it for a private FTB pack for around 60 players of our community.
Do I have to just notify with a post/pm or do I need a direct reply back?
That bug has nothing to do with you, I hope you know.
MC's transparency support is just awful. (Like so many other things...)
Would it be exceedingly difficult to release it as an optional fix for people that don't care about being base-unclean?
(Not that anybody is "base-clean" with the way mods work... Not that that will ever change, given Notch, either...)
I believe this is fixed in minecraft 1.7 because you can actually see water/lava and clouds through stained glass. That was not working in minecraft 2.0 (April fools joke version 2013) and you couldn't see water, lava, clouds or anything transparent through it.
I'm not entirely sure on the bump rules here but can anybody help me out? Do I just post in this thread to get permission?
Eloraam is not responding to this thread, and probably not reading it at all. You might have luck pinging her on Twitter, that's the only place that she has been seen to be in any way active (1 post every 2 months or so) but I wouldn't hold my breath. I think the only course of action is to assume that permission is impossible to get, and make a call yourself. If you think that lack of RedPower permission will get your pack disallowed on the FTB launcher, then don't include it. If you think it will get through on the basis that permission is currently impractical to get, and has been granted to the FTB team so they have permission to distribute it in your pack, then give it a go.
Yet amazingly 1.4.6 came out in December 20 2012. That thing must be messed up.
Why would you think that the release of RP2 for 1.4.6 has anything to do with the last time she logged into this site? Elo is gone and has been a very long time.

Thanks for the reply Phil. :3
I was thinking maybe she had moved permission requests over to eloraam.com or Integrated Redstone but the blog has nothing and IR says post here. I doubt she would have completely prevented people from using Redpower in private packs at-least so I am going to assume that all I need is a post here to link to proving I've atleast told her. I'll let people know how I go.
Our modpack is about a month old, but we are still in beta and not yet released it (we are in the process of testing bugs, compatibilities and fixing everything to work as good as possible). And I don't have those 100 posts on the forums you ask for because I'm not the kind of person who just spams everywhere if I don't have something really important to say.
P.S. Our modpack is absolutely non-commercial and will be only available via TechnicPack.net launcher.
One post and you already deserve to be banned. To help it along, I've reported you.
Next time think before you encourage other people to steal a modder's work just so you can personally benefit from it.
Frankly speaking, reverse engineering is not stealing and is perfectly legal in a lot of jurisdictions. But yes, i concur, it's better to stay out of it and instead put the work into making replacement mods better.
Of course RedPower2 is outdated. It's for Minecraft 1.4.7. Duh.

There's a tube mod that is almost like rp2 tubes. works really well and the tubes are multiparts

Thanks for the mod :3
Anyway... did anybody else notice that Eloraam has 2013 reputation on her profile? And it's the year 2013?
O_O

You do notice that Eloraam hasn't logged in to this site in over a year? It says Last Active Aug 05 2012 04:34 AM
I just don't want to waste the time of the FTB team if I do need it.

Mod author. Too lazy to list mods, go here instead.
Help out the Official FTB Wiki reach a billion pages! (I keep having to update this, so let's just make it a billion)

I'm here to ask for your permission to add RedPower 2 to the modpack I'm currently working on:
