This looks awesome, but is there any ways to set the keys? I have zombe's fly mod installed and I use Left Ctrl to crouch and Tab to throw things, if not I could always change the flymod settings...
Okay, how in the world do I install, I have to idea what do I do, I install Modloader, then I put the contents(not the folder, I've tried) of "move" in the .jar, then I put the smartmove class file in. Then I get blackscreen. And yes I deleted META-INF. And I have no other mods.
Umm dude I get this problem, So I am using the modloader version of it, (i just drag and drop the files from JUST that directly into my .jar). And then when I open it up i get to the menu OK, but when I try to open a world i get a blank screen (not black it has the backround texture) it doesnt have a load bar or message it is just blank (with the backround image) so you know what the problem is?

Feature:Free Climbing
This mod implements an optional mode of free climbing behaviour. When enabled by configuration or by default you can climb everywhere you find at least a block sized horizontal edge.
To climb up you have to move forward toward the edge (default "W") and click and hold the grab button (default "LCONTROL").
To climb down click and hold the grab button without moving forward toward the edge.
To grab an edge while falling down along a wall, rotate towards the edge in the wall and press the grab button. If you are still falling slow enough, free climbing will start. If you are beyond a certain falling speed when grabbing, damage will be done to you.
To change this default grab button visit Minecrafts "Options"/"Controls" menu.

Feature:Swimming and Diving
This mod implements optional alternative swimming and diving behaviours.
To dive jump into still water that is at least two blocks deep. Then press and hold the forward button to dive. To steer use your mouse.
To swim stop holding the forward button and press and hold the jump button instead until you reach the surface. Then press and hold the forward button again to swim. To steer use your mouse again.
To dive again stop pressing the jump button and direct your mouse toward the depths.
When you are walking in one block deep water you can switch to diving by pressing the sneak and then the grab button. If you press the jump button before the grab button you will switch to swimming instead.
When you are swimming or divind in one block deep water you can switch to walking by pressing the grab button.
Feature:Sprinting and Exhaution
This mod implements an optional, configurable sprinting and exhaustion behaviour.
To sprint you have to move forward and click and hold the sprint button (default "TAB"). Sprinting is currently possible for walking, swimmingdiving, crawling, and climbing.
Sprinting optionally causes exhaustion and will automatically end when a certain configurable threshold is reached.
To change this default sprint button visit Minecrafts "Options"/"Controls" menu.
Feature:Crawling
This mod implements an optional crawling movement to fit through 1x1 passages.
To crawl you have to press the graband the sneak button. When climbing would be possible at you current position and direction you might start climbing instead. To avoid this press the sneak button before the climb button to ensure to start crawling. When crawling you can release the grab button.
You can also climb] while crawling. Just move to the related edge press grab and move forward towards it.
Feature:Configurability
This mod changes the behaviour of its features depending on the content of the file "smart_moving_options.txt" in the ".minecraft" directory of your minecraft installation.
More information about the configuration of this mod is included in its readme and option files.
Previous option files like "smart_climbing_options.txt" and "smart_ladder_climbing_speed_options.txt" are still accepted but their content is eventually overridden by the content of existing more actual option files.
If no option files are present at all, the default option values (all features, default configuration) will be used. If an option is not present in the files, the corresponding default value will be used. The option "move.options.version" will be used for cross version compatibility.

When I try to enter/exit the nether with this mod. It still takes me into/out of the nether but crashes when doing so. I am running NetherCraft, Modloader (obviously), recipe book, spawner GUI, Tool Repair, The Herobrine Mod, MAtmos, Somnia and this mod.
lol I can bet you almost anything that people will start using this with Assassincraft (if they're compatible :tongue.gif: I haven't looked at the files for either, yet, personally, so I wouldn't know XD)
If I might make a suggestion, assuming this isn't already implemented into the mod: sprint + jump = long jump, and poentially, hold space to charge, then release for a high jump. As well, you could use the spacebar to jump off of a ledge to get to another ledge, when hanging, but only from the ledges, or maybe further if you're hanging from the ledge than if you're just free-climbing.
Also ALSO also XD - you could, in stead of having the player able to sprint down a ladder, simply have them press and hold a key to have them move down faster, then play a sliding sound effect :tongue.gif:
You should talk to the guy who makes Adventurecraft, though. This would be a FANTASTIC mechanic for Adventurecraft, allowing you to put in puzzles that require the player to figure out how, where, and when to jump/climb to get to a certain ledge, only activated when a certain item is equipped or something (climbing boots? idk :tongue.gif:) Anyway, I love it!
for some reason, i am putting it in my mincraft.jar file, but when i turn minecraft on it wont include the mod, am i missing something or that it dosent work cause im stupid? :unsure.gif:
