for some reason in the 1.7.3 version where lapus and redstone drop more i cant mine obsidian
i dont have the 1.7.3 decompiler anymore, so i cant look into the files and see what the problem is. why not update to 1.0.0? it has every mod up to date.
Hello, I was wondering if there was any way to customize this mod for my own personal use? Like a config file or source code or something? Get back to me, Thanks

Edit: Awsome mod btw, I love it <3
you mean so you can change the textures? cuz theres an easier way to do that. other than that, this is my most popular mod, and it's how i make a few extra bucks. so i need people to rely on my updates rather than their own, and plus i dont want to give anyone the chance to take my idea and steal the rare occasions i actually have about 50 downloads a day
I hate redundant mods like these. They're pointless. If you want more freaking loot for less work, you have two options, stop playing Minecraft, you pansy, or, be a bigger pansy and use another mod to "cheat" it in.

Yeah...sorry if the quality is bad..I had to scale it.
This mod sounds great, since I always hated how ores dropped blocks rather than actual ore. Here's a dumb question, though: How do you install this? I tried putting the archive in my mods folder, which I figured would work since Experium, which I believe you made as well, worked, but it did not, apparently. Unless it was just a fluke. But, anyway, I mined out iron ore with a plain stone pickaxe and got iron ore blocks. I tried to alternatively install it directly to my .jar, which resulted in Minecraft hanging on a black screen upon start-up.
And, if it wasn't obvious from the fact that I said that I installed it using my mods folder first, THEN tried minecraft.jar method; it wasn't a META-INF problem. Suggestions?
Also, I'm surprised more people don't use this mod. Maybe they're all "purists" that think that this mod makes the game too easy.
To them I say, and you could quote me if you wanted:
"Mate, I can take a stroll and mine out iron ore and get three stacks of iron before sundown. Iron is easy to come by. Only getting one ingot maximum from from an entire ore vein block isn't within bounds of believability. Also, gold is tough as shite, so it doesn't matter if you get a lot of it. Diamonds are rare enough to still be very valuable; and if you're lucky enough to get an unbalanced amount of diamonds with or without this mod, you deserve them. Redstone is essentially useless unless you're into gadgets and alchemy, and isn't rare anyway. I need not comment on coal, since (char)coal is an infinitely and easily reproduced resource. It isn't like this mod changes the spawn rate of ores so that you trip over resources every other step, and if you turned on a metal detector you'd go deaf. It's the player's choice if they want to combine this mod with a mod that makes resources more common."
Oh yeah, I almost forgot: Does the Fortune enchantment apply to iron and gold ore items, now? Does it's effect stack with better drops from coal, diamond, etcetera, that it affected before?
Is it possible that this mod conflicts with mods that add more ores?
Edit: I think I figured it out. I did a controlled install of your mod to my minecraft.jar, and it works now. First I brought over your item textures, classes, and mod class. Minecraft ran, because that didn't technically add anything other than dead weight. I then added v.class. Minecraft ran, and now your mod works as advertised. I think I know the problem: The second part of your mod that speeds up obsidian and redstone mining, as well as making less powerful picks break slightly larger things. That was in the zu.class, correct? I do believe that mod conflicts with Scot Tools. I tested that theory by adding your zu.class to my now-working jar file and it indeed caused a hangup. I could test the theory further and take out Randomite (Which depends upon Scot Tools) and Scot Tools and see if it runs with your zu.class, but I don't want to do that right now. Besides, it's theoretically the source, and that's good enough for me. Still, you might want to test it yourself, and if there is indeed a conflict, alert people to this. Here would be where you'd find it.
Me? I'm going to go use my now army-sized caché of iron to shank all the things.
Does this stack with Fortune enchantment? I've been using this mod for a while now and I love it. Used to be a mod called More Ores that I've been using on and off since 1.6.1 and honestly, vanilla hipsters can say what they want, but this is MY experience in Minecraft, and if I believe a damn vein of iron should yield more than 1 ingot, then that's how it will be.
Don't let the hipsters and trolls bring you down, this is an amazing mod <3
I actually answered my previous question through a bit of research, and to my knowledge here's how it works when you have both Fortune III AND Ores Drop Mores:
Since Fortune III is a random 1-3 drop multiplier and Ores Drop Mores is a 1-3 drop multiplier, when you're mining ores, you will get between 1-3 ores without the Fortune, and 1-9 with fortune.
This doesn't work with Redstone, I'm not sure if it's because Ores Drop Mores doesn't affect redstone, but it only drops 4-7 with Fortune.

Awesome, good info. I'm not even sure the author knew that. Well, now we all do!
And another thing that's more on topic: This mod makes Silk Touch useful for even your standard everyday mining. Why? Simple: You mine out the ore blocks directly, which would consolidate better in the inventory than ores, bring it back to base when you're done, and break it with a different pick to get your ores; preferably one with Fortune, if you have it.
This mod also sort-of stacks with Randomite well, since when breaking Randomite, you'll still get gold and iron ore blocks, rather than items, which can be broken for 1-3, 1-5, 1-9, or 1-15 (I'm guessing that would be the drop chance for Fortune III with the EDP.) ore items (Depending on Fortune variable and whether or not you have the Extra Drops Package). Deals damage to your pick twice, though.

4,200+ people would disagree with you. please do not leave insulting comments like these. people can report you for this.

if you want, you can ask the creator of randomite to include a version for my mod, where it drops the items.
Looks cool your mod :wink.gif:

Extra drop package has 1 to 5
the original has 1 to 3 :smile.gif:
