Do you have any suggestions that I could do to possibly fix it? It's on my puzzle map (My only backup is fairly old), and I really want to get the next version out soon. Do you think uninstalling it could help? Removing the rails in MCedit? Anything? Please? :sad.gif:

also, super excited for crafting software, when implemented expect some cool videos from me :biggrin.gif:
this is good..
but, my minecraft crashed when I installed this mod (I have +50 mod installed before)
can you make only magic chest mod? without any dvd or software :biggrin.gif:

I have BuildCraft and am trying to create a record studio with an auto sorter, but it just isn't working.
I have a pipe that sucks up the gold and green records and transports to a small hub of chests. In one chest I have a green record in the bottom right corner, and in the other I have a gold record in the bottom right corner. I've tried setting this up 2 ways.
The first way:
the records land in the middle of the 2 chests, while the chests both have a vortex software to try and pull their corresponding record colour, but the records don't move (I'm guessing because the 2 chests are trying to pull the same objects.)
The second way:
I have the chest that is grabbing the green records beneath the pipe (with a 1 block gap) so that the records fall onto it and only the green records go into the chest. The chest that is trying to grab the gold records is 1 block higher than the green record chest and off to the side. I have the gold record chest using vortex software to try to pull the gold record, but the gold record remains in one place and doesn't move. However, the green record successfully drops into the correct chest.
Here are screenshots of the second way and what I have each chest set to do.
Pipe leading to the chests:
Green Record Chest (in the ground beneath the pipe):
Gold Record Chest (above ground and off to the side by 1 block):
I just cant get this working, and I don't even have all chests set up yet. The 3rd and final chest will be grabbing the gunpowder in case a creeper gets killed by another creepers explosion.
I read the error report it says block 255 is occupied. So when i try and change it to something like 64 or 140 or really anything it then says slot11 is occupied.
I have buildcraft and industrialcraft both i believe were there most up to date versions for 1.5

diamond pipes on that mod sort for you, try that ^^
also, we hope to get SMP out with V1.0, as that will be when it's 'done' for us, apart from that there's nothing to do...
[edit] just noticed the vortex software...you only have it in one of the two chests?
[re-edit] just remembered, if you have vortex software from before upgrades were available it may not work(same for repair), so edit the save and change the damage value on the vortex software to 3...also vortex software should account for a filter, and definately will in 0.9, im gonna check this now.
Did not know about the diamond pipe, didn't read too much about it, just looked cool :biggrin.gif:.
I only have it in the chest that is above ground since the items land on the one in the ground.
I have only had this current version of magic chest, so it's not a problem with previous installs.
Anyways, thanks for the info about the diamond pipes. Makes my record studio allot more organized now that I can place the chests in different places.
this is what i get when i change it to any unoccupied number i seem to find with toomanyitems

I'm pretty sure generic minecraft uses all block ID values from 0-96. Try using a number from 97 to 255 (that's not occupied) for magic chest.
Don't use TMI to find free IDs as it doesn't always show all used IDs. Best way to check is to manually look in each config file. In the above you've used 11 which is block of Lava in the default game (see this list). For instance most of the blocks with red numbers on that image are not shown by TMI. But still aren't free. As a rule of thumb don't use any IDs lower than 97 (96 being the last ID used by the game).
Ok If I am seeing this right does this mean I can use any number over 358 as long as my mods do not use it?
Ok If I am seeing this right does this mean I can use any number over 358 as long as my mods do not use it?
What is the highest number I can use?
For block IDs the numbers 0 - 255 are used.
The limitation is caused by the save structure of minecraft.
Minecraft saves block IDs as one byte (8 bits, smallest number type in Java) to save bytes.
This leads to a limitated range for modders, but on the other hand it halves the save size (mostly).
We are working on SMP, but don´t expect to see it this month :wink.gif:

This is weird I saw this with TMI, Crafting software and farming Software? but they are not mentioned in the OP?NVM just saw again in the Changelog
0.6 was last version for 1.5, I think: http://www.mediafire.com/?qb60jrv7d4as3km

I did and the same thing happens. There is a whole range from 114 and up I think. Tried a few and all the same thing.
