Using it alone doesn't cause the issue, I believe it is indeed an incompatibility with one of my current mods,
I then tested it with every single mod on my list alone to see if could pinpoint the mods incompatible, i found that both lycanite's and mo'creatures were the culprits, a shame... they are wonderful mods disabling them while leaving the rest enabled seemed to stop the issue.
However it was not fixed, just recently i've added a new small batch of mods, and none of them seemed to cause any issues, except when i added Aether Legacy (Can you blame me for adding it? Who doesn't love the Aether, especially when combined with tech/magic mods)
and the issue returned full steam, it seemed to be even worse than before, although note that it happens even when I'm not in the Aether dimension, heck it happens when i'm in a superflat world with a single bedrock layer!
After further testing i determined that:
Aether Legacy with the rest of my load order(without Gender): caused no issues (memory related at least, i did have a biomeid conflict with BoP but thats another story...)
Gender with the rest of my load order(without Aether Legacy) also: caused no issues
Both Gender and Aether Legacy loaded with the rest of the load order: caused the absurd memory leaks (nothing strange appeared in the log BTW)
Both Gender and Aether Legacy ALONE (without the rest of my load order) also caused the memory leaks.
This sparks the conclusion that there is something weird going on between Aether Legacy and Gender that are causing one or both of them to endlessly load something into the memory (perhaps a conflict between Gender's core edits and Aether Legacy's glove systems?[Which might be a core edit as well]), my theory is that both of them are getting in each other's way when it comes to the core edits (or maybe just regular rendering).
Oh it should be noted that even though the game lags to oblivion, it seems that everything from both mods are working properly when they are together, which further weirdifies the problem.
Indeed i do have a lot of mods... but hey I am making a modpack about tech vs magic after all and since some of the flagship mods from both are not updated yet i had to improvise a bit. This improvising however led to a bajullion differnet mod versions of the same ores and recipes and without minetweaker it's been raging inferno to have to go and change the settings of each mod individually (I love it when they don't let you tweak the recipes... and i have to manually set the default ones with NoMoreRecipeConflicts in-game....)
i wish i wouldn't have to give up on either gender or Aether, both are some of my favorite mods and i don't think i could decide which one to drop out...
EDIT: Just tested Gender with the alpha versions of Aether II, the bug still occurred. And I also just tested the 1.7.10 version of Gender with the 1.7.10 version of Aether II, and (you guessed it) leaking to the point of the menus lagging), it really seems like Aether and Gender aren't getting along...
Actually it's because some mods in the load order are cross-compatible with 1.9/8/7.10 and 1.10, so i don't think they will cause any issues (i hope so at least, i have enough to deal with with the conflicting recipes and lack of Another One Bites The Dust and whatnot)
Oh well, guess all i can do is report this problem here and to AL's developer for now, but hey Aether Legacy is still in beta and when playing it i had some weird stuff happen to the music where it would play the entire soundtrack at once, so i guess it's best to leave it alone, for now wait until it gets more stable then try again, same goes to Aether II.
Although the fact that this issue also happens with the 1.7.10 versions really amaze me, i might have found a bug that has been with one of the mods for years now.
Forgive me for my level of formality, I just prefer to keep that tone, nothing against simplicity i'm just used to corporate e-mails and BS customer support...

Thank you for the extensive information. Without having looked at any code, I have one idea as to why the lag may being caused.
During player render, Gender has a check to see if the player is wearing armor or not. If the player is wearing a chest plate, the render is cancelled.
It may be the case that certain mods may have changed the way armor slots or ids are stored, retrieved or otherwise called. Should this be the case, Gender may be checking all of the 'mod added' armor slots instead of just the vanilla ones.
Should you conduct further testing before myself, do tell if you find this to correlate with your findings.

A detailed walkthrough of the error, its code path and all known details is as follows:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for your answer, while i cannot verify code directly as i am not a mod developer and my understanding of minecraft mod developing is limited to few attempts at very simple basic copper toolset mod for minecraft alpha 1.2 (to which it didn't even work... all i was able to was draw the textures and... yeah couldn't even get the code of minecraft to open on eclipse, was MCP or any form of minecraft deobsfucator even a thing back then?) i cannot guarantee that the mods that i will use to test will edit the functions you mentioned but i can at least give a guess.
In the tests i will be using (when available) both 1.7.10 and 1.10 versions of the mods in question alongside their respective version of gender, although i won't be able to test for several hours in each case individually due to some time restraints i can test for at maximum half an hour which is more than enough time for the leaks to trigger in the previous tests, so i believe it will be accurate:
Test 1 - In terms of armor slot mods one of the first that comes to mind is Baubles, Azzanor's mod that includes several rpg-like slots featuring ring slots and whatnot, testing 1.7.10 and 1.10.2 versions of baubles yielded no leaking at all, in fact in the current state of the modpack gender and baubles are active at the same time, no issues found after several hours of normal play in a survival world. It seems that baubles is safe.
Test 2 - Another mod that does something similar to baubles's alternate inventory screen is Galacticraft, which adds a new inventory tab for air tanks, thermal vests and whatnot, unfortunately it has yet to be update to 1.10 so testing is done with the 1.7.10 version, again no leaking found, even when it was combined with baubles
Nota Bene: The breasts seemed to render properly with the thermal vest on, adapting to the texture of the vest even though the vest technically counts as a chestplate only it is worn under regular vanilla armor and appears to be "skin tight".
Test 3 - Then I tested Mine & Blade Battlegear 2 - Bullseye, which added a shield slot and bunch of other combat oriented things, again only in 1.7.10 though, i thought this one would do the leaks as it doesn't add a new inventory screen unlike past mods instead it adds the slots directly into the vanilla inventory screen, yet no sign of leaks.
Test 4 - Finally the last mod i tested was Armourer's Workshop, also a 1.7.10 only mod, this one also seemed to be working fine as in no leaking, there were some render clipping with the mod's chestplates but i guess thats easilly fixed due to the mod's ability to make any armor with blocks in the world, it also adds an alternate inventory screen with double the amounts of gear slots(full body) plus a skirt/tasset slot.
Test 5 - I joined them all together in 1.7.10, and to my surprise, it all worked wonderfully, thing rendered properly all the tabs appeared and everything seemed well and compatible, no leaking whatsoever.
Those were my results, hopefully they can be of assistance. if i may i also should point out that in Aether 2 to access their extra slots you needed to click an all new tab that appeared a top of the inventory screen which switched you to the mod's alternate inventory screen while in Aether Legacy to equip the gloves/necklaces you have to right click while holding them and to unequip i believe you had to shift click with an empty hand, in other words, it seems they differ heavily in terms of armor management yet both of them have the same issue with gender.
Is there any chance of the chat code improvements you made in 1.2.8 coming back to a 1.10.2 version? I had the same problem as @ChakatStormCloud, putting it on the server breaks chat entirely. And I'm definitely not ready to move to 1.11, there's very few mods for it so far.
I just installed smart moving with my 1.7.10 at the request of one of my friends. Iv been reading all the issues and compatability problems that exist between your gender mod and smart move.
Considering that the author of the Smart move mod doesnt seem to want to fix this issue, Have you considered rewriting the mod a bit to include the fix youve mentioned and releasing it as a optional add on/patch to your gender mod?
I dont think he would have an issue with it as long as you credited him for the patch to the mod.
I would do it myself, but im so pittifuly inept with modding I can hardly get skins and resource packs to work right.
I'm dumbfounded by how you call this equality, adding more ways for pervs to sexualise shouldn't be called equality. I guess that I shouldn't trash talk a mod because I don't get it.

equality can be found, but it is debatable whether it is actually equality. the way i see it is slim arms =/= female
alother possible point is immersion, mainly for children of both genders and adult women
The "point of the mod" is that iPixeli decided there should be a change to the game and made it. The "point of mods" if you will. And judging by this thread, it's a popular change. But because it's a mod that means it's optional, and nobody has to use it if they don't want to. That being said, what's the point of coming into this thread and questioning its existence?

I wanted to be educated about why this would be that useful.

That's true; hence the mod. Vanilla Minecraft allows slim arms, but that doesn't really mean "female." That's why this mod goes further and adds voices, etc. Aside from the fact that it was started before Minecraft that newer player model

That is soo weird that you can't get it to happen again.
I haven't noticed anything strange myself. Rarely can I be found playing Minecraft without Gender installed. Thank you for all the testing you've done. It's really nice 😉

They might have a fix you can do on your side with out rewriting his mod to remove the incompatability.
Thank you for mentioning Tails. I sorta dropped off the community radar for the past year or two... It would be nice to talk with Kihira and others again!
I'll check the latest Minecraft code let you know if I release a fix.
If I remember correctly, what has prevented me from changing the way renders work is the player scaling (smaller in size). I may end up submitting a pull request to the forge team for a new hook.
you know how this mod doesn't do well with SmartMoving or similar mods? well, I have a mod called Armourer's Workshop that has a body replacement function, and that works perfectly with SmartMoving (not likely to work with any MoBends type thing tho). From the bugs I get with SmartMoving and player-enhancing mods, I've determined that the breasts in this mod are considered a separate body part, and aren't translated well with mods that add animations to the body. This will still hav problems with mods adding animations like bending, but if you were to make the breasts as a direct part of the chest area rather than a new part right in front of the chest area, then it may actually work with SmartMoving
I can understand that. I use to mod for Starbound and dropped off that community when college homework and life got to stressful for me.
I also want to apologize for the use of profanity in my previous statement on your forum, I got hit with a warning for that and I rightly deserved it even though I think they where a little over zellus with their editing.
As far as Tails goes and the rendering hooks. As a temporary fix if forge doesnt come with a hook for you, you could release the mod with out the child models, or a split off from the mod that only does genders. Outside of that I cant help much unfortantly.
Hello iPixeli, I seem to be having a problem with your mod. Whenever I open up the player settings menu no names pop up, and I'm not able to change my gender and age. However, some zombies do have the female model and whenever I get hurt the adult male sound plays. I don't know if this helps, but I checked the config files and they are all empty. Below is a screenshot of my player settings screen.

in the box, put your name and hit the +. you are now added to the mod. you can use the buttons to change gender, age, and breast size

Thanks in Advance,
“Altarya DeFlammes„
there's no need for that level of professionality... this is Minecraft, not Microsoft support
sorry u had to drop some of your favorite mods to get them.
also i just realized u hav some mods that are for 1.10.2 and some for 1.9.4. I would suggest only having 1 or the other if possible
Greetings and thanks for your patience,
Actually it's because some mods in the load order are cross-compatible with 1.9/8/7.10 and 1.10, so i don't think they will cause any issues (i hope so at least, i have enough to deal with with the conflicting recipes and lack of Another One Bites The Dust and whatnot)
Thanks in Advance,
“Altarya DeFlammes„
Thank you for the extensive information. Without having looked at any code, I have one idea as to why the lag may being caused.
During player render, Gender has a check to see if the player is wearing armor or not. If the player is wearing a chest plate, the render is cancelled.
It may be the case that certain mods may have changed the way armor slots or ids are stored, retrieved or otherwise called. Should this be the case, Gender may be checking all of the 'mod added' armor slots instead of just the vanilla ones.
Should you conduct further testing before myself, do tell if you find this to correlate with your findings.
This must be happening on a dedicated server? I will have to test this.

Greetings Ms. iPexeli,
Thanks for your answer, while i cannot verify code directly as i am not a mod developer and my understanding of minecraft mod developing is limited to few attempts at very simple basic copper toolset mod for minecraft alpha 1.2 (to which it didn't even work... all i was able to was draw the textures and... yeah couldn't even get the code of minecraft to open on eclipse, was MCP or any form of minecraft deobsfucator even a thing back then?) i cannot guarantee that the mods that i will use to test will edit the functions you mentioned but i can at least give a guess.
Thanks in Advance,
“Altarya DeFlammes„
Is there any chance of the chat code improvements you made in 1.2.8 coming back to a 1.10.2 version? I had the same problem as @ChakatStormCloud, putting it on the server breaks chat entirely. And I'm definitely not ready to move to 1.11, there's very few mods for it so far.
Thanks
@Ipixeli
I though of this after going to bed last night and after I posted this. Theres another mod out there that does a similar thing to yours that isnt broken by Smart Move, Its called Tails.
http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/2189718-1-8-0-tails-a-bunch-of-different-tails-ears-wings
They might have a fix you can do on your side with out rewriting his mod to remove the incompatability.
what's the point of the mod?
hey!:D
My Discord ign is The_Naked_OwO#6969/308030940280520734, i don't add people i don't know though.
direct point: add gender and age
inferred point: equality

I wanted to be educated about why this would be that useful.

having slim arts just means you're, well, slim.

Twitter: @iPixeliMC
I just thought of something very good to this mod
you know how this mod doesn't do well with SmartMoving or similar mods? well, I have a mod called Armourer's Workshop that has a body replacement function, and that works perfectly with SmartMoving (not likely to work with any MoBends type thing tho).
