Hey guys, sorry for not posting for a few days. I was on vacation and had no internet access.
I did make a lot of progress, however, but MCP has not been updated for 1.5, and as soon as it is I will give you v0.7. It features A LOT of new things, and I think you'll all like it.
I'm getting a lot of good responses from everyone, and hopefully I'll get ModLoader working and I'll get even more downloads :smile.gif:
Thanks to all who have been patient over the weekend.
Hi guys,
Sorry it's been so long since I updated this mod, but MCP was not updated and I didn't feel like working with obfuscated code. But v1.0 is here and adds ModLoader support! Thanks to all, and suggestions are still welcome!
-combustium!
burns for as long as lava bucket in furnace.
rareity of diamonds.
burns forever like netherack when set on fire with flint & steel.
-underdahlium
super common like coal.
smelts into ingots.
makes cheap tools as strong as wood.
makes armor (if there would be stone or wood armor).
ingots burn in furnace for 4 (half as long as coal)
another ore suggestion:
-Amirite
has small chance to explode when mined
rare as lapis lazuli in groups of 1-2
smelts into amirite ingots and makes tools strong as diamond or stronger
Hi guys,
I'm thinking of starting work on armor. Suggestions on armor are welcome!
I was also thinking of making Uranium... Not sure what it could be used for...

Your suggestions seem to be either the same as an in-game element or make another one useless. They are good suggestions, and thanks for trying, but unless you revise them to work better in game I can't add them to the mod. I think the only one that might work is underdahlium. However, my idea for Uranium was a lot like your idea for Amirite.
i have a idea try google bismuth one of the elements and i love it shine you can make bismuth tools and armor out of it and it look like a rainbow ist awesome
You're right, bismuth is absolutely astonishing in color. I'll put that under "maybe" :wink.gif:
However, it would be kind of weird with a 16x16 texture...
Hey guys, v1.1 is here. v1.1 re-adds gravity effects on the blocks that are supposed to have them. Also a special new (yet incomplete ) secret... (Hint: think with gravity) :wink.gif:
First of all this is an awesome mod.
Second of all the texture for the alloy block should have one side fully purple and one side fully green, while the other ones are half and half.
BTW this is compatible with TMI! YAY!

SSSHHH you're not supposed to cheat with the alloy! (Even though its incomplete) :wink.gif:
Anyway, yea I had the alloy texture like that before I added ModLoader, but I wasn't sure how to do it with ML.
And by the way, I used TMI to test this mod, so of course it is :smile.gif:
hey i get a black screen when i use the mod, but its most likely because its maybe not compatibly with all the other mods i use but great mod any way :biggrin.gif:

Awesome Mod!
The rapidium is really powerful, you should add more ores because i find this mod really enjoyable! You could add like plutonium or uranium or something i dunno,
Awesome, I'm glad you like it! I seem to be getting a lot of positive feedback, but few suggestions! Thank you!

This mod does modifiy 4 original classes. You might check your other mods (especially if they add tools) for classes with the same name. If you want I can try to merge the conflicting mods.
I get a black screen when I put these into my minecraft.jar right after login :sad.gif:
Did you install ModLoader? Did you delete META-INF?
Mmhm, still nothin. :s Make a video of installing it. Maybe it'll show what i'm doing wrong and what others might be doing. I don't know where to put the texture er, ".png"s.
Hey, I'm loving your mod so far. Out of the additional ore mods I've seen, I like this one because it feels like each metal has its own 'personality', if you know what I mean. Rapidium being lighter then air, Smoldium being long burning, ect. I was wondering if you had plans to take things a bit further, maybe a full Rapidium block will float a few blocks in the air without touching the ground, or Infinium blocks being effected by gravity so much that they crush whatever is beneath them? Or maybe new ores, like one that glows like glowstone, even when crafted into tools? Or maybe an ore that can become invisible when a current is applied to it.
I admit I'm no modder, and if these are too complex don't worry about it, just figured I'd try and offer some inspiration.

Right when I think I'm running out of ideas you come and inspire me! Thank you! These are all good suggestions, however, I don't know how to code all of them :3. I assure you, if I learn the code for those I will give you full credit for the ideas!

I can't make a video, but installation is standard. Do you have any other mods installed that may be conflicting?
Also, the folder "chewystextures" goes in the same place as all of the .class files.

This is planned.
How do you mean? Does it crash when the world generates?
