Shawn and I have discussed this, and since we did meet our goal (barely) we will be remaking BMS!
Now with that said, it is a busy weekend, and we will likely not start this weekend. When we have more information, we will post it here and let you all know.

For sure! It will be a while still before we actually remake the mod. I think we are going to wait for the next overhaul of MC which Jeb is currently making. It would be tragic for us to jump back into it, only to be stopped by a roadblock of him changing something vital in the engine. Given that he is COMPLETELY remaking the terrain generation, and part of our plan is to integrate some things into that, it makes all the more sense.
Guys and Gals! I have some fantastic news! I finally have my new server rig up and running! You can connect to it using the same IP as the original post in this thread. It is a 200 man server, so tell all of your friends to join! It will be a 24/7 server as well! Enjoy!
I'm doing Ludum Dare this weekend, so there won't be much work put into BMS, but Shawn has started to get the baseline done, and is gonna set up the repo. We just had a meeting and he's shown me what he's accomplished so far. It's all looking great! We may have some screenshots up in the next week or so.

I just want to say congrats on starting the revamp of the best mod I've ever played! Also an idea I had for it since I started playing was something like plasmids/vigors. They would act like step stones from good staffs to really op staffs and runes. You'd probably have to add slugs or fish models but nothing you couldn't handle. Again I'm looking forward to the day when my awful laptop comes back from android hell and I can start playing on the server.

Hah! Good to have your support wiiman! We are actually working on the mod right now. Justin is working on tents and I am working on the particle effects for the magic mod. I guarantee that this time around our particle effects will be even more sexy than they were!
As a teaser, here is a WIP screenshot for particle effects
So Justin and I have been working tirelessly to get this mod rebuilt in a timely manor. At this point I would say we are about 75% finished with the rebuild. Below are my dev screens from the Magic Mod Rebuild :P. As you probably noticed already, the particle effects are MUCH better than round 1.
