And i have a little suggestion, how about having the detectors able to detect day/night so they could maybe automatically turn on the light boxes
That sounds like a good idea, however isn't it already going to detect weather? and the title says 1.5_01, but it says updated today, so is it for 1.6.4 (i think its 4) or is it for 1.5_01 like the title says?

Hello. Is there a reason why there's a lens in the coding, but it's not functional? Do you think you can release it with the next update? I'm trying to make a laser light show.

Actually that's one of the uses of the *upcoming* (no fixed schedule on that) lens. Placing a lens directly in front of the detector block, with the output pointed towards it, will turn the detector into a light sensor.
It's not really critical functionality though, as there aren't many practical uses for it, but just a little bonus feature I had planned.
Like the title says, it's for 1.5.01. How can you think that a big mod such as this one could be updated to 1.6 few days after its release ? MCPatcher isn't gonna be out for days.
...
Are we supposed to make a guess here ? I'll say 1.6.95.
...
Check the name, it's called NOT A BLOCK for a reason. And it's not planned for the next release.
Dude, that rocked. I went to have dinner, came back, and you had taken care of those three posts in record time
I've got a few beers in me too, so probably for the best that I not be answering those kinds of posts tonight

And btw, while Battosay's answer is 100% correct (and appreciated), this thing wouldn't help you with a "laser light show" anyways. I think you need to reread the description in the OP. That's not how it works.
Nice one, really compact. How much hemp do you have up there ?
Only eight plants for now (but it's modular and easily expanded). It's the same design I posted screens for earlier in the week when there was a brief flurry of people posting screens of modular automatic hemp-farm designs
I did this more as a "proof of concept" to test out the changes I made to make automatic milling possible. I wanted to make sure it was really possible and practical

And indeed, i'm workin' on my tree farm, but I was also thinking about something close to what you did, but it'll wait tomorrow ^^
Here's where I gone so far :
Neat stuff man. I really don't understand the tree-spawning requirements from the look of it. That looks like a small tree you have there, yet to my understanding, small trees can't spawn with that many objects next to the trunk.
On the other hand, if it were a big-tree, you'd be getting branches sticking out causing problems.
So how the heck are you getting such a perfect spawn man?

And here's how I solved my previous problem :
No more item stuck ^^
I don't get it man. Maybe it's the beers in me, but it looks like you have a couple of items stuck in that screenshot
Have you thought about putting BTW specific achievements into the mod?
Like ^3'd for making a companion cube.

Hey, what's that green thing? BOOOOOM... oh

Hi. First, thanks for the mod. Second, a suggestion which I think fits the theme:
Spinning Wheel - processes wool into string.
You're welcome man
I've thought about putting some kind of loom of wheel into the mod, yeah, but I've yet to come up with enough key uses for it to really justify the inclusion of a whole new device.

This is another one I've definitely thought about as I suspect it wouldn't be much work, and would certainly provide opportunity for a few wolf-related gags
However, I'd like to wait until Mojang starts storing achievements online to see what this does to the system. I'm not convinced that any mod achievements will be retained once that happens, as I suspect there'll be some kind of online validation involved in the process.
So yeah, until that gets finalized, I don't really want to spend any time on this, as any work invested in it may be lost IMO.
I'm have troubble with the dector rails my stone rail's are acting like obsidian rails. Dose any one else have this problem because it is interfearing with my railway project?

Are you sure they're really acting like obsidian rails (triggering only on the player, and not on chest-carts?).
The mod switches the functionality of the standard (stone) detector rails to trigger only on carts with something in them. Wood detector rails trigger when asbolutely any cart passes over them (like the standard detector rails do in vanilla Minecraft).
Aww, why are our saws flammable... Time to figure out some other way of de-leafing the trees (I also used hibachis, although mine were manually controlled so that all would fire from just one lever when the trees had been harvested)
Hehe...I am generally sticking to the abstract theory that "wood burns" with the mechanical devices
My overall intention was to not make the wood-based mechanical devices safe to leave exposed to the elements outside (at least not without a basic shelter to protect them from lightning), encouraging players to build structures around their mills and such (although the water wheels and axles are perfectly safe outside).
Overall, I think that concept works well, as inconvenient as it may be for those of us that would like to torch the remnants of our industrial clear-cutting operations
In the long run though, I think it might be beneficial not to burn the leaves. I have a concept for an automated tree-farm in mind that would channel some of the saplings that spawn from the leaves back into the Block Dispenser that plants the trees, potentially creating a fully automated self-sustaining tree-farming device.
Anyways, I'll try to set it up sometime this weekend and will post pics if I pull it off
You have made a machine there can harvest trees, could you also make a machine that mine ores? It will be useful for my factory :smile.gif:
Thanks for a great mod!
Trees can be set to grow where you want them, ores on the other hand need to be sought out.
Unless you use oretrees, but I'm 100% sure that Flower will not add a device to his mod to accommodate another that is against the idea of his to begin with.

Check this out I made a showcase of what I like about this mod and what I use to go with it.
I have the 2x2 crafting mod campcraft mod and BTW mod Installed I think they go together Nicely.

You do realize "hemp" is the fibers made from the stem of the marijuana plant and thus not misleading at all?

Jar launcher is now working perfectly, I was up all day tweaking it but thanks to some friends its working just right now.
Only thing left to do is make it save the current list items to a file so that when the program is re-opened you don't have to re-add the jars again.

Couple of things about your vid:
-I was slightly disappointed that you didn't activate your contraption during your video.
It kind of took the "show" out of showcase.
-For your hemp garden, I think you need to put those light block above the hemp to be effective.
Having them beside doesn't work as well, if at all.
-When you talked about the wolves kamikazing creepers: "But hey! With this mod installed, chances are I'm getting me some wolf chop!" That was funny.
lol my bad :biggrin.gif:

And when is it deemed "stable"? 1.6.57?

It allows:
Starting minecraft from an unlimited number of jars (No more manually switching jars when you want to switch versions/mods)
You can save your jar preset list to a file now (Re-adding the jars to the selection list every run is no longer necessary)
Jars can be named anything (Although I do recommend a relevant name IE: 1_5_01.jar, 1_6_4.jar)
Works on all windows computers (Make sure you have the latest .Net framework installed!)

Since I'm always lurking the BTW thread you guys will most likely get it first.

Wasn't much UI work so its done, who wants to test it for me?
(It works perfect for me, just want to be 100% sure)
