I just did, and saw nothing useful in there.... Or i didnt pay attention, Why cant you just tell me? Is there a way or not? and if there is can you tell me how to turn all of it off?

I think the general consensus on this thread is "why should we bother telling you, if you can't be bothered reading to begin with?"

Well, I have read, but most of it makes no sense at all to me and I am just a beginner.... And was just asking since you are the creator, and know everything about this mod, when I am sitting here, knowing nothing at all.

Well, let's throw in: "You're trying to disable a feature that I invested a lot of time into developing without even giving it a try" into the equation, and I think you'll realize I'm the last person you should be asking.

Okay, I see where your coming from. If i were a maker of a mod everyone loves, and i spend multiple hours, end on end, on alot of things such as in this case, beds dont work, water and lava is harder to get, etc. I would be pissed too, but I mean you should still give people the option. And I cant even give it a try when I dont even know half the stuff I'm doing. Im just trying to start out and learn the mod and stuff, and in order to that is to learn things. I'd rather start out easy, as a beginner, and not have to experience "hardcore."
Sigh. I miss people like me. Humble ( ), ordinary people who actually read what what they're downloading is about, rather than "This is popular DL!". Seriiously, it was about 2 days after I read through the feature list and decided whether I really wanted to install this mod before I first installed it. Admittedly it's grown significantly since then, but still the OP shouldn't take that much time to read through?
I have seen many let's plays promoting this mod, and one of these people doing the lets play is my idol, so i wanted to just try it out. And i am new to adding mods and stuff.... I got a computer a week ago ^.^

Just give it a try. Pretend you were never able to pick up water with buckets. Just try out the real thing, it's not easy, but you won't regret it. If you have quesitons about things you don't understand feel free to ask. But don't deprive yourself of the fun of the real thing :).

You're entering dangerous waters when you talk about options in this thread. FC designed the mod to be played in a certain way, and if you add in an option to disable a feature that sounds more difficult, odds are people won't even give it a chance.
That being said, trial and error and experimentation is a big part of this mod, so go ahead, mess around, it's fun I promise.
Now, if nothing you're doing seems to be working, I highly suggest checking out the Better Than Wolves IRC channel, it's at #BTW, you'll generally get help there faster than you would here. There are generally a few people who just idle in there and if you ask them a question they'll be able to answer it.
When i downloaded this mod, and tried to make a hemp farm, when i placed water down, it disapears after a couple of seconds. Did i download it wrong? If i did how do i download it?
Back to your original question... there are two options: either move the water to your farm (there is a mod-provided method for doing this, read the whole OP) or move your farm to the water. Trust me, after a while, it really becomes more intuitive that you cannot simply pick up an infinite amount of water with a bucket and move it wherever you want!
I don't mean to sound fussy, but in the next few versions could you possibly do 2 things, first, make moving things like carts, or chariots, and second to make it a bit more compatible with some mods...?
Hmmm. I have a minor suggestion (Gasp!) about the recent change to maps, where the player-pointer-thing doesn't display when you're inside or underground. I think that's a good change, but it would be nice if leaves didn't block it. I'm guessing that's not really a bug per say, but it is annoying in forests. I think the goal of the change was to keep people from being able to use it underground, but using it while standing in the woods is still supposed to work. Related to that, it's blocked if you're swimming, while you're at the top of the water. That one I think really is a bug.

Almost certainly not. The first because there's no reason to, and the second because it's been talked absolutely to death already.
And yes, I realize how ironic/hypocritical this is given that I'm making a suggestion in this same post.

May the Force be with you. Unless you're a troll, in which case, may the farce be with you.

Please don't hurt me.
Actually, that's an entirely reasonable request, and just an oversight on my part. Will put it on my todo list

i'm beginning to see why y'all are so testy. i forgot just how many people who frequent these forums DO NOT READ.
ok. i am turning the hardcore buckets on. at first i didn't want to because i worked quite hard to master the weird-ass water physics in minecraft, and i hate leaving knowledge acquired with hours of experimentation behind, but i think it is an interesting challenge to have at least partially more realistic water, even if vMC doesn't help that pursuit. it won't affect my farm much at this stage, since i start a new world by farming next to water anyway (got no buckets), but it will make building water transport for items and mob traps very different.
hm. how will it affect connecting sections of river? i tend to dig those out so i can have better boat routes. am i going to be left with weird "rapids" of incorrectible water there, and should plan to build locks instead?
Hi all, just thought I would jump in and add my 2 dollars worth.
After some initial reservations about all the new hardcore features, especially the beds becoming purely aesthetic. I have to say that I agree 100% with the changed you have made.
Everything you have done, despite the general crying on the forums, has remade minecraft. It's awesome again, it's getting scary again, and as you implement your mob upgrades it's only going to get better.
For the first time since they were added, I made and used a map, compass and clock.
I repurposed a lake so I could make a large farm and cut down half a jungle to make it easier to expand. Yes I'm and evil, evil person, hippies be dammed.
I built huge farms under glass to protect my precious resource minions from attack and my wheat fields from being trampled.
I built a tower about 3x bigger than it needed to be for the windmill then cursed like a sailor when I realised its blades were 6 wide from the axis and not 13 as I had thought.
I dug a channel to bring water in to my base and down to the lava to make obsidian.
All because BTW forced me to change my play style.
A couple of observations however.
1. Zombie pigmen seem to occasionally come through my nether gate to explore the overworld. Is this a vMC features or is this something you have added by stealth? I don't remember seeing this anywhere in the OP, patch notes or wiki...but I could be mistaken.
2. Adding to Last_Jedi_Standing's comments.
I noticed that maps do not work while you are sailing around in a boat or when you are wading through a 1 deep area of water such as a swamp or lake. I suspect this is related to his observations on swimming.
Makes sense not to be able to draw on a map while being in control of a small boat though. Sounds to me like something you would try to keep in.
After weeks of pestering, my boyfriend has finally put BTW 4.21 on his server, and now we can torment nether souls together, like all happy couples should. Can't wait to see how he reacts to the after birth effects, it should be hilarious.
I've been playing on and off since 2.95 or so and I have to say this is easily one of, if not the, most coherent and professionally developed mods available in the community.
So.. does anyone know which version of optifine works with this? I tried the one that the other person told me to try.. but it didn't work. On top of that, I tried a couple of others.. didn't work.
I love this mod, but my MC lags like hell, so if there is one that works with it, please tell me.

I couldn't, either, I had to use MCPatcher for HD features.

Let’s play good guys against bad guys… Yes. Let’s play that. Are you ready? You’re the bad guy. And when you’re bad, you just run. That’s fine right? Well… Shall we play?

Epic work FC, Love the mod.
I don't remember seeing that in the patch notes at all. I will have to go back and re-read them for anything else I missed.
They also threw in naturally spawning portals, IIRC. Saves you the trouble if you find one, no?
I don't think so. There's nothing about that in the update notes on the MC Wiki.
