Box field is fine. I always found those conditions for wheat to be rather counter-intuitive, so I didn't apply them to Hemp.
I also havent figured out how you did the new chicken breeding. I give them seeds, get eggs, but what then? Leaving the eggs to "hatch" just makes em despawn, and throwing them gives me food. Its made a few test worlds hard to get food in (some had no wolves, another only sheep and chickens).
I wish all mods had such a clear vision of what it sets out to accomplish as this one does, and implement those things in a fun way. Thaumcraft2 is one of the few that approaches the level of integrity and understanding of game design as BTW...
sorry if im bringing up a (slightly) old topic but the fact that i can't draw on a map while in a boat is kind of annoying. Let me make this clear though, it's NOT because it doesn't make sense, it's just that it makes it impossible to find mushroom biomes (as we all know they only spawn adjacent to ocean biomes or as isolated islands in ocean biomes.) It also kind of conflicts with the idea of removing the coordinates, because this makes mapping necessary.

Hi! anyone else having issues with patching minecraft with mcpatcher and then install better than wolves afterwards??? ours crashes after the loading screen.
btw, we are using soartex modded on a mac.

It has nothing to do with the texture pack or the fact you're using a mac. I use a mac and mcpatcher and it works perfectly fine. Whats probably happening is that you have all the extra stuff selected. Of all the extra stuff that you can mcpatcher has, only hd textures, hd font, and I think better grass is compatible with BTW. All the others will cause it to crash. I may be wrong on which options work, but hd textures and hd font definitely work.

Yeah, pretty much. There's a list of compatible mods on the wiki, but it's badly out of date. There are a few others, mostly ones that don't do very much/don't modify base classes/etc, but not very many.
The BTW forums shut off registration every now and then to keep the trolls down. You should be able to get the stuff anyway. If you can't, just wait a while. They should open again in a few days.

i tried this, and i found out i had the soartex chosen when i patched minecraft... so i chose the regular one, and MC would start, but when i tried to choose the soartex texture pack, the hole thing crashed, and no it wont start again.

Then the problem is either with the texture pack or with another mod you may have installed as well. If you have other mods installed, uninstall them and see if the texture pack will work. If it still doesn't or if you don't have any other mods installed, then its the texture pack.

Yeah, I've got it on my todo list to change that. The pumpkin thing always struck me as rather silly and without in-game justification. I'll be moving that functionality over to the Ender Spectacles. Actually, I think I'll do that right now as it'll be a nice 5 minute job to do with my morning coffee

I use rei's minimap and it works just fine. I put rei's over BTW, and I havent encountered any problems so far outside the F3 stuff showing up when it isnt ment to be with this mod. If theres something that the aow.class file does, I havent seen any issues because of it being overwritten. If it causes a problem, it wouldn't be too big a loss for me to remove the minimap anyways.

I was going to suggest some of the mods that I have used with BTW, but as I have a job also, I guess I don't have time.
For the people questioning about which features you can use with mcpatcher. I use almost all of them with no (visible) problems in version 4.21 of BTW. No crashes and no base-class overwriting/conflicts (according to mcpatcher anyway!). I install them in the following order:
Modloader
BTW
HD Textures
HD Font
Random Mobs
Custom Colours
Connected Textures
Better Skies
Better Glass
Unfortunately Better Grass doesn't work I suspect it has something to do with the dirt half slabs but that's just a guess.
Installing these features in that order shouldn't crash your client, because it works fine for me

Actually, no. I never use maps myself. They are far from necessary, and I generally find them to be more trouble than they're worth.
