Do yourself a favor and read over the install instruction in the readme.txt included with the mod *carefully*. Start over with a clean jar and follow the instructions step by step.

I did that six times, It's working now though, I think that updating modloadermp from 1.1 to 1.2.3 fixed it.

Just recently reverted back to 1.2.3 Minecraft and installed BTW, I thought it looked neat and several devices the vanilla game has sorely lacked for a long time. Figured it was time to try it out. I'll be sure to poke around the website, and wiki before asking too many dumb questions. Just thought I'd say hello and thank you Flowerchild for putting effort into making our games better.

So, long story short, I've finally got a releasable version of MediateCraft ready for the public. This is NOT a plug for attention, because I'm not uploading it yet. I have a lot to clear with you, first of all.
I long envisioned Mediate as a BTW add-on, and with extra time over this break, I was able to somewhat duplicate (with intense difficulty, I assure you) a BTW source-code environment in MCP. Think of it as an ultra-crappy BTW api. Again, to shorten things, this means that Mediate does indeed already have some BTW cross-functionality in recipes. I have no dependencies on editing and re-releasing your base classes, because you've made it clear over and over again that won't be allowed.
In coding my way through my massive (and very unfinished) task list, I've come across a couple of things I'd like to ask you about specifically as to what I can do. Since I believe I am the first to actually accomplish this, I offer you the ability to continue this conversation over PM or such as you desire - in fact, I believe that would be quite beneficial for a number of reason.
Finally, at heart I'm a BTW fan, and so once you see exactly what I've got happening in Mediate, I offer you, with no tension at all, full right to take any parts of the mod and use them as your own, although I suspect you would not, because of my focus on world-editing.
Should you completely ignore this message, I plan on adding a few more features (in 1.2.3) before release, which would take another week at least, and would release the mod with BTW dependencies but, of course, no edited BTW files. I can only hope that, in the meantime, you ignore this silly 1.2.4 update, and that a proper BTW api is actually forthcoming in the near future.

Hey dude! I'd suspect the best way of handling this is to create a thread for it over on the BTW forums where we can discuss it with proper moderation. PM is unfortunately not an option for someone like me that is the target of so much community "love"

I had a witty retort about you keeping us primitives tempted with your shiny toys and I was proof reading it when my iPad crashes and I lost the post. Think of the post, think of a witty retort and pretend it was from me. Too tired to type it out again.
Yeah, I wish it was too. Then I wouldn't have to port it or listen to the incessant whining until I do.
it's annoying to read threads when every second post is "update plzzz" as well
hopefully when the api is released the updating process will be much easier, however i think with mods like this that do more than just 'add a block', will still have to go through this each update.
by the way where are you going with this mod now? (i.e. general direction of new content) - sorry been out of the loop for a week or so.

I don't generally discuss my future plans for the mod as it just gives people one more thing to bug me about. It's much more pleasant as a mod author for people to say "Wow! I was never expecting foo!" rather than have them constantly asking "When is foo going to be in the game?"
However, I have recently announced that there will be a big release for the mod's anniversary on April 10th. The only hint that I've released is that it has something to do with the following:
I don't generally discuss my future plans for the mod as it just gives people one more thing to bug me about. It's much more pleasant as a mod author for people to say "Wow! I was never expecting foo!" rather than have them constantly asking "When is foo going to be in the game?"
true it is better to not get people over exited, especially with a popular mod like this
congrats on having a mod with an anniversary, to have a maintained mod with an anniversary i something i have never seen before.
also how many posts after this one are going to be guessing whats coming or nagging for you to tell them because they cant wait

FC is now the official inventor of IPad. If you break one open, you can see the waterwheel and axles and gearboxes working in perfect unison with detector blocks, buddy blocks, light blocks, and of course lenses to make the screen work. And in one corner there's a companion cube, just chillin'. And somewhere under the border, there's a dark room with wolves pooping.
For all those with the "accidental update syndrome".....Here's a little tip to avoid the problem:
1 backup your minecraft.jar
2 start minecraft and update it
3 replace updated jar with backed up one
4 play minecraft without update pestering till your mods update
5 update minecraft and install your updated mods
6 enjoy

It could update any time from now to april 10th.
I do have modloader installed, And i did delete meta-inf, I'll try again though and see if that was it.
