First I must apologize if this is the wrong place for this post. I used google and didn't find what I was looking for.
I am using BTW with 1.2.3 and I am trying to get my bellows working and it is not. Is there a bug ? Or possibly and great tutorial explaining it.
Thanks
It's a great mod btw (-=
if by it not working, you mean "pumping air" or whatever you'd call that action for the bellows, you need to turn on and off the mechanical power to it, so by powering the gear box that is powering the axle connected to the bellows, you can turn it off, and unpowering it, will turn it on.

Thanks, I am using a turntable circuit, is there a reason the redstone wouldn't work? I have three axles between the bellows and the gearbox and the bellows is being powered from the bottom,. The redstone is being fed at the side of the gearbox.

I'm not 100% sure if the bellows can be powered by an axle from below, although I'll admit I've never tried. I've only ever tried powering it from the back.
If that isn't the issue, try adjusting the timing on your turntable timer. If you have it too fast the bellows won't work and if it's too slow the bellows won't be operating often enough to keep the fire stoked. Battosay has a good tutorial video on the bellows here:

Ah yes, you can only power the bellows from the sides (not including the side with the hole, for obvious reasons)
I'm having an issue and would love some help if possible! The game seems to run okay in survival, but in creative, if I open up the block list and scroll down my game crashes. It flickers to the error screen for barely a split second and then goes black. When I check ModLoader.txt, there's no error in it. Confusion ensues!
I know the issue is BTW because I have no problems until I install it. I was having issues and realized through searching this thread that I needed to install OptiFine AFTER BTW so I did that and expected it to work, but it doesn't. It fixed my texture issues but not this crash.
I figure it must be a problem with OptiFine, because I've never had compatibility problems with BTW in the past through careful use, and this is my first time trying OptiFine.

Sorry man, but from the info provided nothing jumps out at me, but then again, I'm also not familiar with the chicken-mod you have installed
I'd recommend stripping down your install to the bare minimum (fresh .jar, Modloader + BTW), and then re-adding mods one at a time to find out where the problem originates.
Also, I'd opt for a manual installation if you're using any kind of mod installer utility. That seems to be a source of many problems as of late.

I am doing it manually, but I'll try starting again and altering the install order.
Is that the new name for TMI or something? I hadn't seen that name mentioned until the past few days.
If it's an alternate for it, then I think it would likely be the problem given that it would probably need to modify the creative-mode inventory (which I do as well to include the mod items).
Generally, telling someone unfamiliar with something what it is through using an acronym, doesn't really tell them what it is
CodeChickenCore is needed to run Not Enough Items, which is a better version of Too many items. It's the same thing as Buildcraft core, redpower core, and all that stuff.
I've just noticed. Cats are more useful than wolves without this mod. Cats, all they have to do is sit where you want creepers to stay away from, and poof. No creepers blowing up your walls, or expensive machinery
sort of, it includes a mode to turn off item spawning, and the search/recipe function is INCREDIBLY helpful
the only thing it really shares with TMI is the interface (because why change a winning design?) and concept of an item list. the rest of the features are entirely his.
Yeah, whatever man. I don't have a lot of respect for modders whose ideas seem to boil down to "it's just like 'x' mod, except better", and I certainly won't go out of my way to help them grab "market share" from others, as I've amply demonstrated in the past.
In this case he seems to basically be ripping off both TMI and Recipe Book, and looking at his page, he seems to be gunning for Wireless Redstone as well, and is closely associated with one of my favorite modders (not).
As someone said above: Forge is not compatible with this mod. That's why you were getting the crashes when placing a torch or lever.
It's not then how do you install Buildcraft with it since buildcraft requires forge? I mean isn't this mod made to work with buildcraft?
Also it says there are sorce files to migrate away from forge, what does this mean then? But I guess I can live without forge but I really want it. Thanks any ways.
if this bores you that fast, i think Buildcraft bores you even faster.
BTW turns machine production into an art.

Mods I've installed:
ModLoader
ModLoader MP
AudioMod
OptiFine MT
CodeChicken Core
Not Enough Items
Rei's Minimap
BTW
Thanks in advance

Nah man, I just woke up and started posting about an hour ago. Still going through my morning coffee and cigarette routine

"[1.2.3] Better Than Wolves" Naww, we're still in the 1.7.3 version of this dood. Bettar go backdate
About a week ago genius.
Hmmm...necro update pestering?
Nah, his internet connection is just a few days slower than mine.
KBI Enriched Gravel Mod -- sift out nuggets and chunks and make gravel useful! (Outdated)
Tinker's Construct Recovery Addon -- get back some of your half-used tool materials! (Outdated)
Ah, cheat central then. Not my kind of thing, but whatever.
Pretty lame how he so directly imitated another mod's feature set though. Won't say that I'll shed any tears if BTW is incompatible with it.
Given what I say above, I believe the correct response to this is "**** no".

So "pfffft" to him.
