Dunno if this has been asked before, but oh well. Was it intentional to make all of your blocks respond to redstone differently than how pistons respond to it?
Minecraft has stopped running because it encountered a problem.

--- END ERROR REPORT a7295b98 ----------
It's a vanilla jar with only BTW and modloader installed. what am i doing wrong?
When I feed any of them rotten flesh, their heads are still tilted, showing that they still want more.
They are all in a dark room and everything, so what is wrong?
They no longer do the "head tilt" thing only when hungry. That was removed along with some other aspects of their AI in the last release (see the release notes).
Dunno if this has been asked before, but oh well. Was it intentional to make all of your blocks respond to redstone differently than how pistons respond to it?
Yes. All the redstone blocks in the mod only respond to direct power, for greater control in complex setups. The way pistons and some other vanilla redstone devices can be powered can become very annoying when you're trying to build compact devices.
I kinda wanna check this mod out but... What exactly would i do with it though... Hmmm still nice mod i give you my 1 diamond i only get whenever i look for diamonds so it is special!
wild wolves do eat dropped meat. However, they get tamed by bones, so it´s basically a waste of your meat.
EDIT:
some more testing. Wolves can not be bred. they accept the food. haven't waited 5 minutes to see if they produce dung, i'm testing the new stuff in a newly generated world. however, it seems they prioritize poo-ing over mating.
to me, it seems like the best way is this:
upon feeding:
set mood to Love
if no dog in love mode is found within 4 blocks, after set amount of time
set mood to Poo
after set amount of time
poo
set mood to tamed, normal.
EDIT 2:
my mistake. clicking the wolves enters love mode. dropping food seems to put them in poo mode. i'll build a dung setup, i'll report back later
I kinda wanna check this mod out but... What exactly would i do with it though... Hmmm still nice mod i give you my 1 diamond i only get whenever i look for diamonds so it is special!
Honestly, I kinda thought the same thing. But once you try it out and actually try to automate things, it gets really fun

You appear to have Better Than Wolves installed *twice* and this is causing it to conflict with itself.
Did you install it a 2nd time by copying it into the mods folder or something?
Well, I've got some good news and some bad news. Since I'm not willing to run a poll, and since it's usually my first choice, I'll present the bad news first:
Bad News
-As of today, there will be no new features released for Better Than Wolves. I may put out one more small release to tie up a few loose ends, and will continue to provide bug-fixes and updates for new versions of Minecraft, but the mod will essentially remain in the state it is today.
-I will likely be less available for the foreseeable future to interact with the community.
With that out of the way, let's move on to the good news:
Good News
-I am stepping away from releasing new features because I have something huge planned for the mod that will take the next month for me to implement
You see, one month from today is the 1 year anniversary of the first release of Better Than Wolves. In celebration of this I've decided to finally take the plunge and implement a set of features that I've been planning for a long time now, but which really need to be released together so that they can be properly experienced. I've been hesitant up until this point to invest the time necessary as it would basically mean no new features for an extended period, but I feel that the 1 year anniversary is the perfect time to make this all happen.
So...you guys can expect the next real release to happen on precisely April 10th. I will provide no clues as to what is coming other than the following video link. People are of course welcome to speculate, but you won't get any further info out of me until the release date
No and no. There are still light blocks because it was decided that they are different enough from the vanilla ones to remain in the game.
Hemp is not a replacement for string anywhere. They serve completely different purposes, although either can be used in the creation of filaments.
Fair enough on the string. It was likely just bad luck.
As for the light block, has the recipe changed?
if it requires that much of a time investment, it really will be epic.
oh and: it's not just the first year of BTW anniversary. the last real addition was the Lens. BTW as it is now, is BTW in a complete state. i think we can have a lot of fun with the current build untill the big release
hey i just want to clarify one thing as im confused by this mod- well when it says 'the mod thats incompatible with everything' is that a joke or does it seriously not work with any thing else, thanks
All it means is that he makes no effort to provide compatibility with anything else (other than Buildcraft), so you shouldn't expect it to work and then complain when it doesn't.

May the Force be with you. Unless you're a troll, in which case, may the farce be with you.

It does work with a bunch of mods, but not all. It won't work with ANY forge mod. Check the base classes of the mod you want to install and check the base classes of BTW. If they don't show up twice, you shouldn't get any conflicts.

I'll take that video hint with a grain of salt. Anyone remember the thing with Nether Sludge?

You could do this:
i just right-clicked a wolf with shears.
XD
Stay tuned for an announcement later today that will answer that question
