Hi! I have an question.
i didn't find craft a crafting table.
i was read your guide but i can't find anything.
Plase help me :(.
i use btw version of
V4.B0000001
As far as I'm aware you're not supposed to find a crafting table. you punch a tree to get a stick, you put that stick in your inventory crafting grid to make a sharp stick, you take the sharp stick and hit stone to get a stone, you put the stone in your inventory crafting grid to get a sharp stone, you take the sharp stone and when you find surface iron ore you mine four ore chunks, smelt the iron ore chunks to get four iron nuggets (you get a brick oven by sun drying clay and crafting four brick half slabs and then putting those four half slabs in the inventory crafting grid), put the four iron nuggets into your inventory crafting grid to get a chisel, you go to a tree stump and hit it with the chisel to get a crafting table (be conscious of where the stump is). of course you're also going to have to survive throughout all of this.
If you're still confused then just watch some let's plays on youtube or twitch of a recent btw version.
Fired up BTW for the first time in... man, forever? And while I'm amazed at how much it's all changed and pretty surprised it's still been updated so faithfully, I don't think it's a mod for me anymore. The last time I played (contemporary to the more recent "newbie guides" on Icynewyear's channel, I think) was at the edge of being a little too slow/hardcore for my tastes, and while I think the "new" early game is pretty interesting from a design perspective, it definitely doesn't feel as fun to play. But that's fine, because not every mod or game has to be for every person :-)
Thanks for all the fun over the years, FC. And I'm amazed you're still hard at work and still doing such good work. Best of luck to y'all in the future!
-Changed the way dirt loosens its neighbors when dug with crappy tools to make for more interesting behavior, and so that dirt slabs loosen in the same manner as full blocks.
-Changed child animals to not grow into adults unless they have the space around them to do so. This fixes a bug where children would sometimes suffocate upon growing into adults, and puts another juicy nail in the coffin of quantum animal farms.
-Changed (rebalanced) desert and jungle temple loot to be more interesting, and less uber.
-Changed village blacksmiths to generate with water in their trough, rather than lava, as it is more thematically appropriate and a slightly less advantageous find given how powerful lava can be in the early game.
-Changed the way chunk generation works slightly, so that changes made to structures (temples, village buildings and strongholds) will no longer affect stuff like the distribution of ores within a chunk or other random "decorative" aspects. However, this necessitates that such things will be affected one last time for this one release. This will not affect biome distribution or the contour of terrain, or anything major that would cause seams in your world, but will affect minor aspects like where a particular veins of ore or trees may appear within a chunk. This was done so that changes can be more easily made to things like loot lists and structure details without having to worry about affecting too many other aspects of chunk generation.
-Changed cows to experience less knockback than other animals as befits their stature.
-Changed Mushrooms to be crushed by falling blocks.
-Fixed a problem where sheep were still breeding with Cookies rather than with Pumpkin Pie.
-Fixed a problem where cows wouldn't bestow their hoofsies while grazing.
-Fixed a problem where pistons would occasionally extend two arms when first placed by the player.
-Fixed a problem with the weeds texture not being reinitialized when a new texture pack is selected. This will hopefully fix rendering issues with weeds that players were experiencing.
Toroidal Poultry.

Hi! Is it possible to somehow add optifine to the jar without breaking everything? I get that it's a total conversion, but atleast add support for optifine and connectedtextures. Thanks.
Fairly certain Optifine changes some of the same code BTW does; so sadly the mods won't work at the basic technical level.
The good news is that Flowerchild worked hard on performance- so BTW runs very smoothly on its own. Also if you dig around the BTW forum, you'll find some texturepacks that'll support connected textures as well as technical advice on how to get everything working. http://www.sargunster.com/btwforum/viewforum.php?f=12

Hey Flower, where are you going to move this to with the forums shutting down? Or is this going to be the final version of the mod? I remember this mod from when I was 10, just starting in beta 1.7.3.

I think the reason everyone keeps asking for Optifine compatibility isn't optimization stuff, but shader usage, for which there is no workaround except to install Optifine...

Other than you, I think only one person has asked in like the last 3 years. "Everyone" might be a tad of an exaggeration.

Hi
I play BTW on a low laptop, because I'm poor. I used to play on tiny render distance for a year now and I have around 18-20 FPS in the most time. On normal I had played since Mart 2017 ( with the newer version the FPS was going down).
2 weaks ago I started again on the latest version and got the perfect world I could imagine (but FPS was 12-16 on tiny... )and of course I died yesterday due to a lag spike, I was killed by a skeleton...
I have played a lot of modpacks on versions 1.7.10, 1.10 and tried 1.12 always with optifine (on 8-10 render distance I have around 30FPS!!!) and I have never had such bad experience with the performance of the game.
I love the BTW. It's gameplay is like all I like combined in one game, It's mind blowing, crazy awesome.
I'm appreciated I could play it on even such low FPS and monstrous lag spikes.
For 3 years now I'm waiting for a kind of optifine boost to enjoy my favorite game and you came here and said It's not necessery...

I am not really willing to go through 1,630 pages of this mod.
So, I will blindly ask; why is the link to download the old versions now private?
The short answer is that I prefer not to support old versions, and no, that's not changing.
I'm really digging the new dirt loosening.
OOF

Oh ok, good to know! Thank you!
Yes, the btw forums.
Invitation only.
Visible to everyone, so an entirely valid place to receive updates on new versions and such.
Not by invitation, registration is simply not open most of the time as I prefer to avoid the headaches new members tend to bring.
xD... Admittedly, I have never joined it as I never had anything to ask.
I am the current maintainer of the Forge Essentials mod for Minecraft and long time gamer!
