This isn't compatible with the HD Patcher. At least it doesn't work for me, I didn't install the jf.class like I was told, and I tried installing the mod and patcher several different ways. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
HD Patcher is not compatible with the Optimine patch. It will work with Optifog though. The issue is in se.class. The check fails and can't find FontRenderer in it.
i dont know why but for some reason when i use optifog+optimine(fps around 2-6) i lag like hell even with the settings set to give me best fps, but if i just use optimine(fps around 18-25) everything runs smooth(er). also the custom launcher .cmp line you have makes my minecrafts sound bug out. if anyone know what i can do to fix anyof this please let me know.
Quick Question... I got this, gave me about a 20 FPS increase (making it about 40 in total) and after turning on Camtasia, it dropped right down to 1... could someone please help :/

So according to the HD Patcher, this conflicts with Mod Loader. And yes, I didn't install the class you told me not to. It says it's the kr.class file. Can anyone help me?

Cameras slow down FPS like crazy, there's nothing he can do about it since it's an issue with the recording software, not the mod.
4. Lauch Minecraft with less memory (yes, really). It needs maximum 256 MB and runs fine on all settings with the default texture pack. By default java allocates insane amounts of memory (1GB?) which then gets swapped to disk and the overall performance suffers a lot. I use a custom launcher to do this, here is the CMD file:
The first line points to the minecraft installation, so you can install Minecraft anywhere. Remove it if you run from the default directory.
The CMD file have to be in the minecraft directory (for example: %APPDATA%/.minecraft) in order to work.
I need some help on this part. Not sure what to do.
btw how can I tell if the mod is working correctly?
I used all the recommended settings and my FPS dropped from around 25 FPS to 0-1 FPS. I then turned off AdvancedGL and that boosted my FPS to a whopping 5 FPS.
Somethings changed with AdvancedOpenGL in recent versions. I got an unplayable amount of chunks flickering on and off. Just as I walk in a straight line not even looking around. Had no issues back in, geez I think it must've been 1.5_01_B or C. I did update it once when F or E came out and noticed the flickering so just reverted back to an older version. But now come minecraft 1.6.6 there's no older version available. So I dunno if thats a bug or if its something to do with my computer specs (whatever comes generic in a Macbook Pro) but unfortunately I do rely on this mod to cut out my lag issues. :sad.gif: Also just to note that I never played with an Optimine version as it never made a noticeable difference and I did always play with modloader installed, and yes I ignored the file that was specified when copy and pasting Optifog in. Other then that, great mod! hope notch adds it in one day to cut out on compatibility issues
EDIT:
Dunno what I've done but I've fixed it and I cant for the life of me reproduce the issue. Just disregard this and I'll bother you again if it reoccurs. :wink.gif:
OK seriously is everyone skipping over my post...

i need help on which class to not install in order to have multiplayer colors
Just nobody knows what you are talking about. I have never seen or heard about disappearing colors in singleplayer or multiplayer.
Try starting with a clean minecraft.jar it may help. Or describe better what you mean. When I hear "disappearing colors" I imagine that everything goes black and white.
Is it possible for you to make a step by step guide of what you mean...?
I'm getting kind of desperat now...
What I said was about as cut and cry as it gets. If you can't understand that, then you shouldn't even be installing mods in the first place..

Totally unrelated, I actually got the beta version of OpenJDK7 to install on my PowerPC and java from the command line says I'm on 1.7, but Java Preferences still thinks I'm on 1.5 so no dice for running Minecraft on 1.7 yet... Still trying to figure out how to populate the Pref list.
Is there any chance that the m.class and ns.class used here could be merged with the ones from smith's Minecraft Extended? The speed boost especially involved with the extra mods Minecraft Extended allows would be great! Thanks for the great mod though!

A merge with Minecraft Extended is quite complex because of the way it works.
Recompiling with Java 1.5 is not as easy as expected. In the worst case it will have to wait untill Monday.
I appreciate the effort. :happy.gif: I'm just glad someone cares enough to tend to the minorities. I don't think I'm going to ever get MC to run on OpenJDK 1.7. I did however get a Bukkit server to run 1.6.6 with WorldEdit 4.4 which used to throw the bad version in class file error, but worked flawlessly now so I know it's working. I'm just assuming it's a command line only tool so I can't apply it to GUI Java. :sad.gif:
Edit: I hope recompiling in 1.5 doesn't like cripple/hinder the ability of Optifog/mine. :|
I'm using HDpatcher ( to install the mods as well)
install order
modloader
OptiFog Optimint 1.6.6 (thus overwriting the kr.class file from modloader as stated)
All hdpatcher options active
and the HD fonts in misa's pack are stuffing up
tested both with the HD Font option turned on or off
and still sdtuffed up but differening results
then i test the same without optifog optimine 1.6.6 and the fonts are back to as expected.
It looks to me like se.class that might be causing the problem with hires fonts now
I really want to use optifog optimine 1.6.6 but alas until this gets resolved I can't
(No i'm not a noob.. i know what i'm doing , I follow directions to the letter including leaving out the file as stated here in the OP "For MCPatcher (HD textures) do not install jf.class." )
PS: after posting this reply I tested leaving out the se.class filer from the optifog optimine 1.6.6 and everything appears to be working properly with the font. so i'm wondering what does the se.class file actually handle in the optifog optimine 1.6.6.

But I set "Performance" to Max FPS and my Macbook has more FPS than it's ever seen on Minecraft, AND I'm able to see farther. So that's pretty cool.
EDIT: the brightness setting rules too. For some reason Minecraft likes being extremely dark on OS X.

How much of it is still true, how much is outdated, etc.?
OptiFog initializing...
OpenGL Version: 1.4
OpenGL Fancy fog: Not available (GL_NV_fog_distance)
