When loading Optifine C2 I crash with this report below. Whenever I use C3 or C4, I get no change to my game, it looks like vanilla minecraft
The game crashed whilst initializing game
The game crashed whilst initializing game
Error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/minecraftforge/fml/common/registry/RegistryDelegate
I've created a patch to fix some ridiculous memory usage by the vanilla Particle rendering code. I think this would be perfect to include in OptiFine. After all, it's caused by one of your pet peeves: immutables.
Hello, 1.12 version of optifine do not work at all. It keep crashing upon pressing play in the minecraft launcher. I cannot get a game output from the launcher because of this . I've tried restarting my pc, switching from C3 to C2, installing latest drivers. Nothing works at all.
System specs :
I7-4770K
EVGA GTX 1070 8 GB of VRAM (Founders Edition)
16 GB of DDR3 Ram
Windows 10 (64 bit)
GeForce Driver 384.76
2 TB HDD (Currently 700 gb of free space on my pc atm)
Putting too much ram in minecraft can cause huge problems... Set it to 2G xmx, you will never go over that!
I run 32-16 chunks and R3D texture pack along with shaders at 1080p often. The extra ram helps alot especially on my main survival world (over 3 gbs in size.) I have the hardware to do so, I have never encountered any issues related to ram since I've started loading in 8 gb of ram since 1.7.10 came around.

you can't run shaders at 1080p lol its just shaders, but as a java developer I would know you are having problems because of that, and you need to try to lock your framerate at 60fps(anything above that is invisible to the eye), then try lowering it 1 gig by 1 and see if it lowers it any, as anything too high fps will cause massive problems, but the big thing is your texturepack and shaders and any mods have nothing to do with fps, minecraft mostly uses your cpu for chunks and a 3gb worldsize is a bit small compared to mine (20gb lol), but I run that on 60fps with 2gb ram allocated, seus ultra, and one of those 512x512 texture packs (forgetting the name lol)

"you can't run shaders at 1080p lol its just shaders" I think you misunderstood my comment, I was talking about running minecraft "with" shaders enabled with a higher res texture pack between 16-32 chunks running at the resolution of 1080p. Like this statement for an example: "I run gta 5 ultra with the redux mod at 4k."
As I mentioned earlier I never had issues with high amounts of ram being used (probably because minecraft used less than 1-3 gb on average), I only ran so much to avoid any possibilities of going over the memory limit of minecraft, that said I did turn it down to 4 gb after reading your post. Also since when did having high fps cause issues? There is a clear difference between 60 hz to 120 hz pal.
You're not helping with my issue with optifine crashing. My complaint is not frame-rate (or any of the "issues" you claim might occur with my current setup) it is the issue with optifine crashing upon launching that has only been happening with the 1.12 versions of optifine.
you can't run shaders at 1080p Yes, you can. lol its just shaders, but as a java developer I would know you are having problems because of that, and you need to try to lock your framerate at 60fps(anything above that is invisible to the eye) No, it's not. However most monitors can't refresh faster than that, then try lowering it 1 gig by 1 and see if it lowers it any, as anything too high fps will cause massive problems, Never heard this before but the big thing is your texturepack Resource Pack and shaders and any mods have nothing to do with fps, Yes, Shaders, mods and resource packs have a massive effect on FPS. minecraft mostly uses your cpu for chunks and a 3gb worldsize is a bit small compared to mine (20gb lol), but I run that on 60fps with 2gb ram allocated, seus ultra, and one of those 512x512 texture packs (forgetting the name lol)

Hey. This will probably annoy you if you are trying to scroll down the page.
- the operating system and background services (antivirus?) needs some RAM - probably 2 GB
- the operating system needs some RAM for a disk cache, if there is not enough reading files from disk may slow down
- Minecraft uses 2 x the allocated memory, the given limit is for Java heap memory, additionaly Java can use the same amount for low-level buffers etc.
If the PC has 8GB RAM and the OS needs 2, then 6GB. are left for MC.
As MC uses double the limit it should not be allocated more than 3GB.
Usually Java does not use all of the given memory, so allocating more may seem to work as Java does not use it. But this is not guaranteed. Depending on many factors Java may decide to use all the allocated RAM (even if not really needed) and then the OS may have to swap to disk and everything could slow down.
Look at the comment from the creator itself, it proves me correct, also shaders is a modification to change shadows, not anything as resolution wise, and also about proving me wrong about 60fps, yes you can see higher but only about 15 fps higher and its a different thing, plus lowering fps limits to 60fps reduces screen tearing, and prevents graphic cards stalling/burnout, and sure shaders, mods, and resourcepacks have an effect, but one thing is the big limitter is your cpu which makes mods seem like nothing compared to it.

Look at the comment from the creator itself, it proves me correct, In what way? also shaders is a modification to change shadows, not anything as resolution wise It was you that said you can't run shaders at 1080p, and also about proving me wrong about 60fps, yes you can see higher but only about 15 fps higher That's an absolute lie, other wise why would they make monitors with 144 hz refresh rate? and its a different thing, plus lowering fps limits to 60fps reduces screen tearing, This is true and prevents graphic cards stalling/burnout, That isn't and sure shaders, mods, and resourcepacks have an effect, but one thing is the big limitter is your cpu which makes mods seem like nothing compared to it. Default resource pack in a super flat world, with Optifine 300fps. With Sphax 512x, 2

Btw I can use Magic Loader to add Optifine to Vanilla Minecraft just fine, even with this error. Just can't figure out Forge. And I tripple checked that I am using the right Forge versions with the right OptiFine versions.
Could it be Magic Launcher itself? I've never used it personally\, so I have no idea how it works. I am using 1.12 with Otpifine OptiFine_1.12_HD_U_C4_ with Forge 2407 (the latest), I am also using Liteloader and I'm not having any problems.
I don't have forge installed and optifine still crashes upon pressing play even in C4.
I dont know what is up with your pc but C4 works with no problem for me
When loading Optifine C2 I crash with this report below. Whenever I use C3 or C4, I get no change to my game, it looks like vanilla minecraft
The game crashed whilst initializing game
The game crashed whilst initializing game

Hi @sp614x,
I've created a patch to fix some ridiculous memory usage by the vanilla Particle rendering code. I think this would be perfect to include in OptiFine. After all, it's caused by one of your pet peeves: immutables.
Here's a link to the patch: https://pastebin.com/i0e9JpFM
And here are some profiling results showing the difference.
Before:
After:
And that's just with a field of torches. The difference is nearly ten times this when underneath floating sand in deserts (dust particles).
No clue why its happening, 1.11 and below versions of optifine works but not 1.12 versions for some reason.
Updating to java 8 hasn't fixed the issue too, now I get a virtual machine error.
@jda456: which Forge version? If #2360 or newer, try OF C4 version: http://optifine.net/adloadx?f=OptiFine_1.12_HD_U_C4.jar
Putting too much ram in minecraft can cause huge problems... Set it to 2G xmx, you will never go over that!
Developer, server management, system admin. You want it, I do it!
I don't have any forge version installed.
So maybe you should...
EDIT:
Already there is not-preview, stable version: http://optifine.net/adloadx?f=OptiFine_1.12_HD_U_C4.jar
OK, YOU have no trouble, but @jda456 has one
If you had such a problem, would not you try OF work with Forge?
Greetings
you can't run shaders at 1080p lol its just shaders, but as a java developer I would know you are having problems because of that, and you need to try to lock your framerate at 60fps(anything above that is invisible to the eye), then try lowering it 1 gig by 1 and see if it lowers it any, as anything too high fps will cause massive problems, but the big thing is your texturepack and shaders and any mods have nothing to do with fps, minecraft mostly uses your cpu for chunks and a 3gb worldsize is a bit small compared to mine (20gb lol), but I run that on 60fps with 2gb ram allocated, seus ultra, and one of those 512x512 texture packs (forgetting the name lol)
Developer, server management, system admin. You want it, I do it!
When allocating more RAM do not forget that:
Developer, server management, system admin. You want it, I do it!
I can't get Optifine 1.12 HD C2 to work with Forge 2331. I tripple checked everything and can't figure out whats wrong. I get this error:

This is an interesting one: I get an error when I add the OptiFine_1.12_HD_U_C4_MOD.jar to the Magic Launcher:

Btw I can use Magic Loader to add Optifine to Vanilla Minecraft just fine, even with this error. Just can't figure out Forge. And I tripple checked that I am using the right Forge versions with the right OptiFine versions.
Could it be Magic Launcher itself? I've never used it personally\, so I have no idea how it works. I am using 1.12 with Otpifine OptiFine_1.12_HD_U_C4_ with Forge 2407 (the latest), I am also using Liteloader and I'm not having any problems.
