Textures that use the repeat method have an incorrect mapping at the bottom. From top and from the sides everything's in order, but from below there is a failure of the tiles.
...
Why is this happening and how can it be corrected more correctly and globally, can you help?
Shader packs have problems with the normal maps of CTM textures.
This is a known limitation and there is no easy fix.
Relevant discussion: https://github.com/sp614x/optifine/issues/750
When launching with no resource packs enabled everything is fine, but trying to add the resource packs back ingame also crashes the game with the same crashlog.
Can I have an example on how to use custom background please. I'm rather confused. Do you put "background.properties" in every "background1, background2, background3, .." folder or do you just put them here like this: "/assets/minecraft/optifine/gui/background.properties". I've tried both but there seems to be no differences.
Also what does it really mean by: "blur1=<1-64>", "blur2=<1-3>", "blur3=<1-3>"?
Does it mean blur1 for alternative panorama folder number 1 "background1"?
Or, does every panorama folder need 3 of them "blur1=..", "blur2=..", "blur3=.."?
The same about overlay1, and overlay2. I'm also confused as to how ARGB works? I'm pretty sure it's the same as RGBA with "A" being alpha, but I'm not sure how exactly it work, I can't find any ARGB converter.
Another problem (not really!) but it's bugging me.. sorry. When making custom block model, you can turn shade on and off but for CEM, is there a way to do it? Here is what I mean:
What I would like is to have both north and east face to not have shade, things would look better with manual shading.. Is it possible for CEM?

Well this is frustrating, I can not figure out how to download the optifine
I go click on the download button and there is an ad that comes up and on top of the ad there is a small box that says my download is ready
BUT, on the small popup box there is NO indication that this is FOR OptiFine .
I'm not clicking on anything or downloading Anything that Is not labeled specifically what it is.
So I went and donated, hoping that in the email I would receive a link to download the app or program or whatever Optifine is.
And no, the email does not contain a link
So how can I know what to click on to get this?
In the upper right corner is a something that reads"Please Wait" below that is a timer that counts down to zero and changes to [SKIP AD] . The ONLY thing you ever click at AdF.ly is that [SKIP AD]. Once clicked, a new window with OptFine download appears. That is what you need.
Its probably a good idea to run a virus scan if you clicked anything else.
Lou
Thank you for your response, but it's not working. It seems to be caught in a loop. I click the Skip Ad when it appears and it takes me to Home where I click the download and it takes me back to the Adfly page, where I get to repeat the process again and again.
So I feel something might be broken. I've even had my husband look at it and he can't see how to get it to work either.
hmm. weird.
I'm just stuck in a big endless loop,
Ok I was finally able to download, the way I did it was by NOT clicking on the link in the First post of this thread. I went out and gis Optifine went to the site and proceeded from there.
So there is obviously a lag problem or something with trying to link from here, at least for me.
Have not installed it yet, I'm sure that will be another headache. because Clueless old non tech person, is clueless. But there really is a problem with trying to get the download with the link to the Optifine site in the first post.
Nothing to install... just add it to your C:\Users\hidden\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods\version folder. I add a folder for each MC version I play and can run any MC version I please without conflict.
Forge will install OptiFine for you, easy peasy.
If this fossil can do it I'm sure you can too.
Lou
I downloaded C5 after posting above without a problem. There is always the mirror but sp614x doesn't even earn a few tenths of a cent that way.
Have not installed it yet, I'm sure that will be another headache.
It should be as simple as double-clicking the file, and if your computer does not know how to open it just find and select javaw.exe to run the Optifine installer. Reply if you're still having troubles.
I can not get OptiFine to load using Forge. When I try, the game crashes.
