You can see in the tab name of your imgur that you screen resolution is 1366x768. By playing in 320x200 you're bringing that on yourself I guess you expecting it to stretch across the whole screen just in bad quality to improve your FPS? Yeah Minecraft doesn't work like that, stick to your resolution and at least aspect ratio. Adjust other settings instead like the Render Distance and so on
I tried some new texture packs today and I by process of elimination I have determined that optifine derps with texture packs over 32x and crashes with no error message(maybe there's a log somewhere?). I can load 64x in vanilla minecraft without optifine and it works but the performance sucks which is why I use optifine. I'm hoping this is just due to optifine being incomplete but maybe someone else could shed some light onto this.

Freedom is more important than health, more important than safety or security. A life's worth is not measured by its length but by the length it is lived with liberty. Freedom above all.

hey, when i was changing the settings to make things faster a bats texture looks weird now and i dont know what i did to make this happen. Can you please tell me how to fix it? it also might be like that with other mobs too.
I've replied to this topic before discussing a bug in Optifine 1.7.2. It's only with Birch Leaves that I have this problem with. In my hand they are normal, but as soon as I place them down in the world they are solid black (probably a bug in a code somewhere) I would like this to be looked at/fixed. It's not my texture pack because I use it without Optifine just fine and no black Birch Leaves. Here is a picture to prove it. I've even turned off shadowing, and "Better" Trees option. Can someone confirm that this is not just me?
This is most likely due to custom biome palletes being broken due to MCPatcher new biome pallet format.
I might know what's going on since this is also happening with Soartex Fanver Resource pack as well and I might know what to tell you so you can fix this issue.
To fix this pallet go to:
assets -> minecraft -> mcpatcher ->colormap
Make a copy of the birch.png file to your desktop (just in case) and then delete the one inside your pack.
This wont affect your texture in any way. It will only use the default colormap instead making this issue go away.
Test it and tell me if it's fixed.
I have no idea how to do that i went to assets but I didnt have a Minecraft, or Mcpatcher file. All I had was a bunch of scrambled letter and number files/

Someone any idea to fix it?
Edit: Pure instalation, newest java, no mods, error occurs only with Optifine profile.

This looks like a network/security problem, no idea how it can be related to OptiFine.
My apologies. Its hard to convey and interpret emotion through text. I'm sorry for jumping to the wrong conclusion.
Never mind, nothing happened. I am sure that we come from different countries, in my country the words: "what are you talking about" means just astonishment and surprise some ensuing fact.
That does not change the fact, that some players have a problem with mobs
They are mere snapshots, the snapshot might be small parts of what 1.8 will be. I wouldn't worry about the snapshots, but the reason why mods haven't been up to 1.7 is because there were many changes to it. Versions like 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6 haven't had so MUCH changes. A bit similar to what happened to the 1.2.3/1.2.5 mods.
I hope you mean 1.2.5 to 1.3.2. That was the biggie that lost mods.
True single player (single thread) to integrated multiplayer (dual thread) without proper lock-step to keep the game engine from getting ahead of the gui.
As mentioned, the game isn't dropping the screen resolution for you. That's odd -- last time I tried forcing full screen at 800x600 in minecraft, it worked -- but that was on a PPC with Java 5.
Assuming you are on a microsoft windows machine, can you use compatibility settings to force the game launcher to run in a lower screen resolution? If so, try specifying that resolution for full screen.

I am getting a shorter render distance using 32 chunks on 1.7.2 with Optifine then on 1.7.4 minecraft vanilla with 16 chunk limit. Suggestions? (using magic loader) (no other mods)
try setting gui scale, in video settings, to normal, its auto by default

Which resource pack is having problems?
Minecraft can not connect to the server, not related to OptiFine.
Screenshot?
Mod conflict, probably TConstruct or BiomesOPlenty.

Oh I'm certain it's OptiFine, it only has this problem with the OptiFine profile. Is it the installation?

It is odd that some people are having this problem with the mobs and some are not. LOL I wonder what the common denominator is...

That seems to have done the trick.
