Yes. You can use the javaw.exe located in your Minecraft java runtime/bin folder.
Had to block optifine's ads again, autoredirecting is discouraged. Atleast I hope the capes I have bought is sufficient for this
With the 1.13 version of optifine I have some CTM issues. I tried updating the properties file with the new block ID but it doesn't work. Am I doing something wrong, or is it a bug?
I am using overlay for grass block top. The file used to be called grass_top.properties. Now I've tried to rename it grass_block, grass_block_top and even adding matchBlocks for minecraft:grass_block and minecraft:grass_block_top. minecraft:grass_block is the ID for the actual block and minecraft:grass_block_top is the texture filename for the top side of the grass block.
I also have issues with torches. I have biome specific torches, and they don't work. All I thought I had to do was to change torch to minecraft:torch, but nope.
These all worked in 1.12, so for the torch example, I assumed I just had to add minecraft:, but still doesn't work. Glass and stuff works, I just had to update the IDs.
Since I've only ever used Optifine for older versions I was wondering if the preview for 1.13 also works on 1.13.1? I don't care about these simple updates, it broke one of my favorite features anyways, but still, just curious. Thanks!

I tried the preview version of 1.13 and holy smokes, it LITERALLY goes down from 20 frames per second to 20 seconds per frame (I'm not even kidding). I didn't change any settings nor fiddle with the JVM Arguments. The 1.12 version works perfectly fine. I just hope it is just an issue that hasn't resolve yet because its a preview version (I haven't tried using it in my other laptop that is more powerful though).

In both alpha8 and alpha10, I experience the following error. Is this a known bug?
Check the Git Hub, see if someone put up a fix, I had that issue in Alpha8 someone put up a fix that fixed it. Though it seemed to only fix it for one go and then it stopped working again. I'm guessing you're also using the old launcher?
Is 1.13.1 different enough Optifine has to be recoded separately for that version? Spigot appears to have pretty much brushed off 1.13.ZERO because of how flawed that release is. Finishing up Optifine for 1.13.ZERO just to have to start all over for 1.13.1 seems like such a cruel hand to be dealt.
It may appear to be an odd thing to do, however since most 1.13.1 was gameplay bugs it makes more sense to stay on the version they are working on right now as it appears to be nearly done. Also it won't really start from scratch again like it did with 1.12.2, in fact once the base 1.13 is done moving on to 1.13.1 should take almost no time but if they scrapped what they had it would be longer of a wait. 1.13 changed a lot of code that Optifine used and as such it is taking longer than normal to get through it all.
I understand it is taking longer than normal because of the item ID changes and various other changes behind the scenes. That's ok. I just wondered if 1.13 work was going to help moving forward or just slow down the process further on a version nobody will really want to use when 1.13.1 is the "proper" release.

I am just starting out with making and modifying textures in minecraft. and I have a couple of questions. first, can someone point me in the right direction to a texture layout that will work for CTM glass panes? also, I am trying to make custom lily pads with flowers on them. how can I get the flowers to show up in their own colors without the tint overlay? Thank you for your help.

this looks like the template for glass blocks. will this same template also work without any modification for glass "panes"?
The template is for connected textures. Not "for glass block" or anything.
Panes uses the same texture as glass blocks.
I finally figures out the problem, enabling "smooth FPS" DECREASES your fps to oblivion, (at least on integrated graphics cards).
Yeah integrated GPU's are not known for their play value honestly, even "gaming laptops" will have a drop off at some point.
