Hi Guys, my name is Shrew and this is my first modification for Minecraft :smile.gif: Basically what is does it make a game a bit harder. I always thought Minecraft was a little too easy...
What is does
-Creepers explosions are 2.5x bigger
-All Mobs are twice as strong.
-Zombies run 10% faster then you.
-Spiders run 100% faster then you.
-Skeletons unleash a barrage of arrows!
-Skeletons nor Zombies will burn in the day time. They stay aggressive.
-Throwing Eggs will have no chance of spawning a Zombie.
-Do NOT let anything trample your crops.
-Creeper Dungeons! (Untested)
Installation!
1. Obtain an archiving program, two common examples are WinRAR and 7Zip.
2. Obtain Rigusami's Excellent Mod, Modloader V1.4
3. Navigate to your bin folder. This can be done by hitting start then run, the typing in %appdata% in the textbox. You will see lot's of folders, go for .minecraft, then the bin folder. Find Minecraft,jar and open it with your archiver. Then drag and drop all the provided class files below. Also drag and drop the class files from Modloader.
4. Start the game as normal.
5. Survive!

This is like the SAME exact thing as the Hardcore mode mod. It's probably the same thing with a different name, and if you made it without knowing he made it, then nice job.

I finally come up with an idea for a mod, and someone has already done it. Haha thanks for the feedback anyway :smile.gif:

Also, "Throwing eggs will have no chance of spawning a zombie." Do you mean will have a chance?
Also, how fast is your skeleton barrage? I accidentally messed up a variable in SPC recently that caused skeletons to shoot about 20 arrows per second.
You should make Spider Jockeys spawn more often, they take forever to kill, dont make millions spawn but a bit more often. I'll tell you more ideas when i come up with some.

When Notch first updated the Chicken Egg thing, in the change-log he said "Throwing Eggs have no chance of spawning a chicken" It was kinda a joke. (Yes it will spawn zombies >:biggrin.gif:)
The Skeleton Barrage is around 5 arrows p/ second, so pretty deadly.

Yea, 20 arrows per second is way overkill. Try having that just hit you by surprise.. I had no intent of doing that so the first time I heard the machine gun barrage of arrows, it made me jump. 5 arrows sounds more.. reasonable.
Since Zombies can already reach about 1.5 blocks, make it reach to 3 blocks far, and fix the attacking glitch, because lately, zombies have been giving me hugs.

The attacking glitch was patched by Notch in Beta 1.4. I'll start working on reach distance, as I am currently open to ideas :smile.gif:

-make that mobs cant go near torchs at night (so your house dont get blow up every 5 seconds).
-make that they can break doors :tongue.gif:
-creepers blow up only damage player would be good.

It is supposed to be harder, so suggestion 1 and 3 would just make it easier, and no one would want that! I will see what I can do with the opening of doors, but I have never tried that.
I guess you can help me if you want, but I want to see your mods first :3
How about a walk speed decrease based on the amount you are carrying ? Running from a creeper with 500 cubic meters of stone in your pocket should be harder :wink.gif:

I think it's hard enough as it is, minus decreased player speed.
Just thought of one- Zombies and skeletons can open wooden doors. Creepers can't, because they don't have arms. Iron doors are impassable to mobs just as they are to you.

I like the idea,but perhaps iron doors can be broken dwn by groups of 2 zombies or more,then have gold door's that cant be broken.They work like iron doors.Meaning theyre unopenable except by redstone.
I rekon that'd be good because we currently have 0 uses for gold.
Also,gold is relavtivly rare,making the game even harder.I would just love mobs breaking doors though....Survuival isn't hard when a mob cant get into your house.But if they could?????

Maybe have a new mob or just use skeletons/zombies that can steal from chests,,and then have a new chest made like so
The gold acts as a lock to stop monsters from getting in.
I also thought of a new mob!!
It's a corrupted man........
He can mine things,smash doora,steal stuff,and he uses an Iron sword.
He has 9 Hearts only.
He deals 2 damage each time he hits a door,assuming that doors would have health if they could be broken.Doors have 30 health.
He attacks slowly against doors,but fast against players
He is a RARE spawn,and he drops 0-3 's on death.
The point??With my idea,having gold would be an essential,and gold is quite rare.So a mob that is relatively hard but drops it balances it well i reckon.
Lemme know what you think of my idea's
