And before you say "OMGEEZ UPDAET FOR 1.7 NOW PLZ PLZ", read the god damn original post too. If you don't know what that means, then you're too stupid for me to help.
Sorry for all the swearing, I "swear" to god I popped a blood vessel raging at all these uneducated spam posts.

Quite, my fellow Minecraft wool sheep
I'll probably keep my suggestions until Kinniken returns
I think I managed to find an incompatibility, even though it doesn't crash the game. It seems that this jams Flan's guns. The sniper rifles don't zoom in, and nothing fires. (I am not going to comment on why I am using WWI guns in a Norman village.)
Just thought I'd stop in and say thanks for the wonderful mod. I played it for a while then (like a dummy) updated when 1.7 hit, and was so excited for supported pistons that I completely forgot to back up my 1.6.6 game :sad.gif:
I look forward to the update when it hits. If you see this while on holiday, then have fun!

Hahahaha, you get angry on the forums because some folks asked some questions, calm down champ. You don't have to respond to someone's post if you don't need to, no need for bold red caps.

"OPEN YOUR DOOR OR I SHALL OPEN YOUR WALL! HISSSSS!"
if you look back 50 pages you'll se that the most asked question is about updating 1.7 and compatibility with 1.7. and you can see that we have responded everytime with no, the mod creator is on holiday, so it's not so weird he is going crazy now.
there were even people who made a comment after somoeone put in big redd letters that the mod creator was away etc. that's how trollish people are on this forum.
So I thought that my story is pretty funny but I guess it's rather common. Well I was just about to leave for my yearly vacation to Calgary when I was surfing along the internet looking for mods and texture packs, when all of a sudden I see a YogBox Compilation mod and I say "Hell this 'oughta be good." So I Download it, Install it, and play around for several hours on it having a grand old time in my village. I then after a good 5 hours or so quit to take a short nap before I leave, and when I wake up I think hell just a bit more minecraft before I leave, I open minecraft and it says update now? And I say sure why not, I started my world and hey where the f*ck are all my villagers? Damn you 1.7 update. Well just letting you all have a nice laugh and a good read for say I dunno a minute or two, I hope I wasted your time real well.
I wonder if update 1.8 is going to use this for the npc villages it mentioned.
I'm really quite anxious to find out from Notch what this will all be about.
I love Millenaire to bits, awesome awesome mod. But at the end of the day, 1.8 comes along and is a replacement for Millenaire, all my hard work and effort on current Millenaire maps will be for naught. I'd find that... minorly frustrating. Actually, about as frustrating when I have to raze my village(s) because an update breaks them. :S
Actually, since 1.8 will introduce some much cooler terrain generation features, I might have to abandon all of my current maps :'(.
Regarding Notches NPC villages and Millénaire ...
I would say, who cares if Notch will add some NPC's also? Millénaire should still work... then there will be Millénaire and Notch villages in the same map... I'll still spend my time in the Millénaire villages... I do not see why you guys are worried at all?! After all this is a mod. And as long as mods are not inhibited as such, this mod amongst others will still exist (maybe Kinniken will have a bit of work to set all the connections right again. But on the other hand, it's and ModLoader mod and I don't know how many interfaces are connected via that, but maybe that will keep the annoyance the original code could throw at Kinniken to a minimum :smile.gif: )
Anyway, point is also with another "original" NPC scenario, the only way Millénaire would be discontinued is if Kinniken would quit. And I hope he still likes what he's doing with his mod and has fun wasting time with it :biggrin.gif:
Some more of my thoughts as to what Notch might take, I think he may like Kinniken's "solution" to money in MC, and I could certainly see that adopted wholesale into the main branch of the game along with the shop ideas. Allowing players to buy/sell items to each other would be a huge benefit on multi-player, and NPC shops certainly wouldn't kill performance in the game. It would be awesome if Notch included something like the building construction plans that Kinniken has included too, which could be built one block at a time like is done with Millénaire or simply done all at once. Some other mods do similar things like the Ruins mod, so it wouldn't have to be just like this one, but I really do like the png files for building creation and consider that to be a strong point for this mod. All of that fits in well with Notch's approach to encouraging modding behavior too, as it opens up a whole bunch of possibilities for a larger community development effort even beyond just software developers and people who make skins.
Where Millénaire starts to suffer is performing NPC tasks in real time that are essentially just like a multi-player game but performed all on one server along with the complex AI that must go into such routines. While it sometimes is frustrating when my framerate goes down to single digits, it is also one of the things that I really enjoy about this mod. It really is what gives life to these villages and seem like a much more simplified "random walk" or "run to the player and hug him" logic doesn't quite give the logic necessary to make NPCs seem like real people.
btw, I'm right now biting my fist not to type anything to feed the Trolls :biggrin.gif:

There has been more than a couple posts that I've wanted to respond to. A couple that I even started a reply and then hit the big red "X" on my browser after a second consideration. These trolls are getting so bad I'm either thinking of applying for moderator status or at least asking for moderator assistance here as this is getting out of hand, at least collectively. Some of these guys are being out right rude rather than simply posting idiotic stuff, and they have crossed the line with some personal attacks. All of that calls for culling of at least some of the comments and certainly some warnings/blocks on these guys too.
I'm amusing myself endlessly with this mod. I spawned a village just outside of my general yard and someone decided it was perfectly acceptable to build one of their houses in my pool area and then one directly behind it which broke some of my privacy wall and fencing. It's little things that like which entertain me. Though I do wish they would stop hurting themselves trying to go through doors or walking off their roof! :tongue.gif:
