With regards mounted machineguns in aircraft, how accurate are they? Do they converge to the crosshair at a certain range?
I'm very much looking forwards to a 1.3 version of this; air travel//exploration rocks (if it didnt mean winding back time too far, I'd reload 1.2.5 just for this)
(all these planes and not a single parachute?! single item in chest armor slot - player wearing it falls at slower rate - obvious really... more random re-iterated, re-hashed thoughts include:
planes that can be affected by lightning strikes
cargo planes with internal storage
Waterbombers for fighting fires/lava
Fuel - something that could potentially be extracted from IC Fuelcells or BC Oil with a machineblock
That';s my humble 2c worth, anyway
to answer your question the guns on planes arent the most accurate things, they have a nasty habit of pulling a call of duty on you. And about cargo planes they can store things in them just need to have the right content packs

I got everything installed, Minecraft starts up like a charm but when I fire a gun I get a light blue screen and crashes.
Did you install this mod in 1.3.2? Flan's mod isn't compatible yet with 1.3.2. Your gonna need to wait for it to update or downgrade your minecraft to 1.2.5 and install it using that 1.2.5 minecraft.jar file instead of the 1.3.2 minecraft jar file.

You'd have to define 'pulling a call of duty', lol. Not a CoDpiece in sight here.
Unless you mean, say, planes outfitted with early Chinese or Soviet technology? In other words, precision strafing appears to be out. Dammit... and I clicked about cargo planes later on (after posting) it was more that I was thinking civilian aircraft not military... I'll have to look further into some of the content. Cheers!

Those of you wondering why updates are taking so long:
This is a huge mod, in many ways it is just as big as IC2 or Redpower or Railcraft or Buildcraft (None of which are operational with 1.3.x, Eloraam is usually good with updating her mod from what I've seen and IC2 has an entire development team working on updating!), and this mod, as far as I can tell, does what no other mod has successfully done prior to this: allow users with absolutely no experience with modding to make their own addons for this. So I don't see an update for this coming with some of the biggest names in modding stumped or working on updates, although those mods each access forge & minecraft differently, so who knows? This could be updated tomorrow, yet IC2 could take another 3 weeks, or vice versa.
Ah well, I don't care when, I'm content with 1.2.5 right now.
In my opinion, before updating to 1.3.2, which is probably a bigger task, the mod should be compatible with the latest version of forge first. If the mod has so many requirements, it makes people want to use it less, as well as the compatibility of use with other mods is greatly reduced as well. I'm not asking for an update, which I'm only stating because most of you in the replies complain about asking for updates, I'm merely suggesting that the mod should have up to date dependency compatibility before updating the mod to a later version.
Also, even the most popular mods out there haven't updated to 1.3 yet, but are compatible with forge, and most people that would use your mod would also would wnt to use other mods at the same time as well.

Ahhhh, now I see. Do I just drag and drop into the .jar? Because the Magic launcher doesn't do that for me.
