The blockids in my old worlds shouldn't be an issue - I assign every mod with configurable blockids a 15 block range (so I start, for example, FancyPacks first item at 115, the next one at 130, etc.) so that none of them clash and it's easy to remember if I need to redo them and still want to play an old world. I'm going to try again with a clean .jar - let you know if it works in five.
*EDIT* Alexdr, might I also add that when he Xie writes:
2. Copy ALL of the files from the zip into your minecraft.jar, including the Xie folder.
don't copy the individual files inside the folder into your .jar - the entire folder should be in your .jar, with the files inside. I assume you already know this; I only mention it because I've noticed this seems to be a common issue. For some bizarre reason some archive utilities (including my friend's version of WinRAR) will instead automatically install all the files into the root if you drag an entire folder from one archive to another. If yours does this, it might need you to unzip the folder first and then drop it into your .jar. (When I found this out, I was able to help my friend who had been trying to install 'MoCreatures for two weeks, followed every instruction, and come to the conclusion everybody on this forum was mad.)
Hey, I hate to be picky, but do you think you could post a copy with just food stacking/farming, no hunger added? My mods list is really sensitive, and for some reason, when I install the standalone farming and food stacking mods, I black screen (food stacking does it, not farming, checked with both individually) but when I used the combo food stacking/hunger/farming package, it all works with my other mods. Except.. I don't want hunger, and I'd really like your balanced food stacking O.o
Thank you! :smile.gif:
I can only suggest that you change the difficulty setting for it to 1 in .minecraft\mods\hunger. That won't really remove it, but hey...
I agree, this is probably your best option. Making it "HungerDifficulty=1" should completely disable the hunger mod. If it doesn't let me know :wink.gif:
(Oh, and its .minecraft/mods/Xie/hunger.ini :happy.gif:)
EDIT: Another thing I thought of, when you install Farming and Food Stacking separately, be sure to install Farming LAST, because it has the most up-to-date XieMod.class... Doing it the other way around will definitely black screen. Sorry, I meant to update that.

Absolutely perfect! Thanks! As soon as I installed farming LAST, it all worked fine :smile.gif: Thank you both so much for your help! :happy.gif:
P.S. Now that you have me thinking about install order, I managed to get one of Nandonalt's mods working, that wasn't before! Even more kudos to you! :biggrin.gif:
Xie, what is the difference between appleGrowthChance and appleGrowthTime? Incidentally, it seems to be working absolutely fine for me with all of fancypack installed. So far, at least.

That's awesome news! :smile.gif:
Every now and then a sapling gets the chance to "grow", and once its "grown" a few times in this way it'll turn into a tree. The appleGrowthChance is its chance to "grow", and the appleGrowthTime is the number of "grows" it takes for it to turn into a tree. Decreasing either will make apple saplings grow faster, but decreasing the growth chance will decrease the variability of the nominal growth time... Does that make sense? :tongue.gif:
Have been coming here everyday since you first posted it and still didn't comment lol. Nice work do you know if this is compatible with the VarietalSaplings mod? they both use at.class.

Yeah, that's a good mod. Mine works fine without the at.class, it only uses it to toggle between fancy and fast graphics lol. It should be compatible, be sure to use the Vatietal Saplings at.class and not mine.
Hi ive tried installing the appletrees. but i cant find any. and i cant /item any sapplings.
i have:
Mo'Creatures
Minecraft advanced,
Plastic craft.
i just want the apples so i can tame my horses
If apples is all you're after, have you tried Ayu's Tree Drops mod? It makes apples drop from normal tree leaves :happy.gif:
If my mod is installed correctly you should find one apple tree every dozen chunks or so, you can also up their spawn rate by decreasing the "appleSpawnChance" in the .ini file to try and make them more common... Sounds like its not working though.
I suggest installing the whole mod, and disabling watermelons, pumpkins and flower seeds in the .ini file, probably the best chance of having it work correctly. Good luck :smile.gif:
Ok. For those having problems in not seeing apple trees who have Plastic Craft, try changing the id of plastic craft's microwave. The setting is in .minecraft/PlasticCraft.props. "blockMicrowave=110" Its normal setting is 110, change it to 118. Worked for me.
There are no apple seeds. There are apple saplings - they drop much the way normal saplings do, by destroying leaves, but you'll only get them from the apple tree leaves.

Ok, if so, how do i get an apple tree then in the first place?
They are, in a not newly created world, there aren't any. But i guess now, that they are supposed to grow from normal tree saplings at a certain chance?
Hmm if you think they are rare go in the farming.ini and change that. they grow from apple saplings not normal saplings. I have a new world and find one evey 10-20 trees. look for a forest.
