Hey I installed all the stuff correctly for single player commands so that means I should have worldedit commands eg /cuboid but I don't. I only have the singleplayer commands.
Any help appreciated thanks.
WorldEdit is a powerful tool that assists you in building, fixing, and repairing problems It is essentially a in-game map editor. WorldEdit was historically for multiplayer only, but is also now single player compatible thanks to the work of simo_415!
It's very powerful and you can do all sorts of things with it:
[*:173wuag6]Mine instantly with the super pickaxe tools
[*:173wuag6]Use your compass to quickly teleport to areas by left clicking
[*:173wuag6]Replace a giant area with a block of your choice
[*:173wuag6]Level an entire mountain and replace it with natural looking terrain (with brush tools)
[*:173wuag6]Smooth an entire mountain quickly
[*:173wuag6]Generate spheres, cylinders, cuboids, forests, pumpkin patches, and snowy areas
[*:173wuag6]Copy areas, paste them, load them, and save them (compatible with MCedit)
[*:173wuag6]Count the statistical variation of blocks inside an area
[*:173wuag6]Ascend through ceilings, pass through walls
[*:173wuag6]Build tunnels quickly with //stack
[*:173wuag6]Test out experimental architectural designs easily
[*:173wuag6]Fix problems with your map
Candyland (the land was replaced with 50% red wool and 50% white wool)
Tutorial
The idea (for the selection commands) is that you make a cube-like selection by choosing two points:
[*:173wuag6]Type //wand to get a wand
[*:173wuag6]While holding the wand (a wooden axe), left click on a block
[*:173wuag6]Right click on another block to select the second point
[*:173wuag6]Type //set rock
[*:173wuag6]Type //expand 2 up
[*:173wuag6]Type //set glass
[*:173wuag6]Type //move 1 up
[*:173wuag6]Type /up 5
[*:173wuag6]Type //walls brick
[*:173wuag6]Type //set 0
[*:173wuag6]Type /snow 5
[*:173wuag6]Type //undo
Download
To use WorldEdit, you will have to install Single Player Commands. WorldEdit comes with Single Player Commands so you don't have to do much to use it, however, you can update WorldEdit separately.
[*:173wuag6]The tree generators don't work (besides 'pine')
[*:173wuag6]The super pickaxe doesn't let you mine multiple blocks while holding down your button
would be helpful if there was an actual download link for this instead of just information.

found a minor glitch while messing around: if you have a slab selected and try to use world-edit to change it to a different type of slab, it doesn't change it. you have to change it to something else and then to whatever kind of slab you want
also found a convenient non-glitch (sorry if i'm sayin stuff nobody cares about):
when specifying the "percent" of random blocks to be generated in an area, you don't have to make that percent add up to 100. if you say //set 1%firstblock,1%secondblock it will just create 50% (approximately, obv subject to random fluctuation) of each block in the area. i like that. cool.
in the next update, i suggest a way to make vertical cylinders. like //vertcyl and //hvertcyl, where //hvertcyl would make a hollow cylinder around you from left to right.
Hi sk89q. Could you please take a quick look at a project proposal I have posted? I believe you are one of a short list of people uniquely qualified to be able to do or help with this idea. I would greatly appreciate it even if you could just share your thoughts on it or just consider it. Below is one piece of the summary description of what the project would accomplish if completed:
* This will allow the tracking and transfer of all user modified blocks & content (not any unmodified blocks even in same chunk), including inventory etc, to a new Minecraft version of the same world seed via a simple coordinate difference map (Shadow map). - Allowing you to fully experience the benefits that each new version of the terrain & feature generator will provide while keeping every single block & item that you have worked so long and hard to customize. "The world will change around you!".
If //regen doesn't work in SP, that's because SP Commands doesn't implement it. WorldEdit alone is just a bunch of code that knows things that can be done with blocks, and it's up to whatever that "implements" WorldEdit to link every feature in WorldEdit with some actual code that does stuff. I maintain the Bukkit version but not the SP version, so the SP version is sometimes behind on implementation.

This will be considerably easier when the source code is released. Just a simple one time conversion would be enough.
Thank you for looking at it. You bring up a good point. It seems to me that once the code is available you will be able to directly access and utilize the new versions world generation code. Unfortunately I don't think that would help with all of the other issues involved with maps made before this occurs, unless they will also be making the code from all the prior versions available as well?
Even so; Determining exactly which blocks, not chunks, a user has changed on an old map between versions is not something that I think even access to the source code will solve, as the different terrain and ore distributions of the old map could be interpreted as user-changes and kept in the new converted map instead of truly updating those blocks to the new version. This is what the idea of Shadow Maps is meant to solve.
Even having a tool that will do just the first three things on my list will give people the ability to attempt manual conversions for now. The part concerning a mod for live tracking - shadow-map construction, could wait.
sk89q, I really appreciate you looking at this. If you have any more ideas that could help realize this or know anyone else that could help with this too then please post to the Project thread or direct them to it. Thank you! :smile.gif:
Not sure. Ask the guy that makes SPC.
Check out my Minecraft server.

use the one that comes with the SPC package.
All the above mentioned things work like a charm here.
