So I've spent the past few hour fiddling with all of this stuff and it's really spectacular. The only thing is the wiki is not up to date. I could not find anything on world curvature either even though it's mentioned all over.
Also, whenever I use the cel-shading shader, it highlights the edge of the map and around the sun.
There seems to be a crashing bug when OptiFine expands the tessellator buffer (to render lots of particles, for example). It only happens if this mod is installed with OptiFine.

Tested with Minecraft 1.2.5, current version of GLSL Shaders and OptiFine 1.2.5 HD A2.
I don't think anyone could have said it better! I totally agree with you in all the ways.
It'd be great to have this mod on Magic Laucher so A LOT OF PEOPLE, including me, could enjoy this with hundreds of other great mods out there... while at the same time Dax has 0% of obligation to do so... But it's also true Dax should kinda consider our plead, since it'd make the mod a lot more usable... even though I partially understand this position of "hatting" this baby posts around most mods... but no one should just close their eyes and ignore, even though rare, decent posts... ones that are trying to improve things...
Anyhow... GREAT MOD! I'd be fantastic to have it available in Magic Launcher... So please Dax, do reconsider your position in this matter, and, if possible, do give Magic Launcher a support for you great mod! =D
THNX!
I agree that making this compatible with Magic Launcher would help a lot of people, but according to the Minecraft terms of use (http://minecraft.com/terms), and this is an exact quote,
The One Major Rule
Do not distribute anything we've made. This includes, but not limited to, the client or the server software for the game. This also includes modified versions of anything we've made. Also, you may not resell any gift codes or licence keys - but of course you can give gift codes as gifts. This is necessary so that we can help stop piracy and fraud - and especially users buying keys that have been fraudulently obtained.
Or, paraphrasing into a more topic-related subject, "Do not distribute modified versions of anything we've made".
However, it could be argued that the mod isn't technically what "Mojang has made", since i suspect Dax used MCP to edit the source files, program which, as said by modders and Mojang itself, returns a deobfuscated code much different from the original one used it Minecraft.
I believe Dax's take on this is to avoid copyright issues, but seeing as Mojang has embraced modding, and seeing as MCP deobfuscated files are NOT the original code (even though greatly similar), I don't think there would be a problem. However, this is 100% Dax's choice and i wouldn't blame him if he never distributed the class files.

-a simple "tank you" means a lot more than you might think...
Firstly, sonic ether based his mod on this one, as stated in the topic:
This mod is a "mod of a mod" (original mod here created by daxnitro: GLSL Shaders) that makes your Minecraft look simply unbelievably good! Take a gander!
Secondly, i believe sonic ether's shaders are just a bunch of individual shaders packed up neatly and developed by himself. You could probably get a similar (if not the same) result after some code copy-pasting of some existing shaders.
I believe you can still switch up sonic ether's files to add/remove shaders (even though i might be wrong), so there isn't much of a difference. His are just a nice little pack of nice looking shaders

I want to know how you can enable bump mapping and the other stuff, Sorry for sounding stupid if its already been answered but, Can u guys help? Or tell me if its on the description
I used the autoinstaller that came with Dynamic Shadows. I didn't geta black screen, and the game loaded just fine (I was using the default texture pack). As soon as I loaded my world, minecraft closed itself. I made a backup, but I want to know why it did this. I was using the mods: modloader, modloadermp, rei's minimap, smartmoving modloadermp package, player API, and optifine.
I had it happen once where this mod installed incorrectly and the Dynamic shadows didnt work. It was the same shader I used on my other (desktop) system, on which it did have said dynamic shadows.
What I want to know is if it's possible to disable dynamic shadows such as what happened with that, because the game still looks MUCH better with this mod but my laptop simply cannot handle the dynamic lighting. When I had the shader working, without the dynamic shadows, I had about 3 times as much FPS as I do with said shadows.
