Ended Nov 17, 2014
Poll: A Preference: More health hardcore mode?
Ended Nov 17, 2014
TL;DR:
I had to use so much effort and had to learn new java but in the end everything worked out. DOWNLOAD VERY SOON!
How do i download it form the site i cant find the download button
Think I will be on here often? Haha no.
Awaiting this terrific mod!
Thanks! It's ready for download!
Haha I can make it if more ppl want it :smile.gif: Hard core zelda mode, but it will be super hard.
Let me know what you think about the spawn rates of heart containers and pieces (they appear in dungeon chests only). Perhaps I can get the golem from battletowers to drop a heart container later.
Holy, we basically have the same code! (except I made my heart an ItemHeart, not an EntityHeart) besides that, our code is quite similar...
by find new dungeons >.<
Hmm, interesting. Perhaps, I will think about it!
The whole point is to KEEP the extra health for the veteran minecrafters. In addition, the hearts are already hard to find, making them disappear= having to travel very very far and what not.
I'll be having a poll later for new features! (After being modloader compatible)
I would much rather keep them; when you die, you already lose all your items, (if you are too far away from spawn), and then losing all the hearts you obtained from numerous, horrible dungeon fights!? Seems a little harsh. Total ragequit there.
No no, some people are suggestion that you should lose your heart, but I my self would not like that at all. + finding those dungeons are a pain anyway, and for those with established worlds, it only spawns in newly generated areas.
Yeah making it modloader compatible isn;t gonna be that hard (in theory). My mod only modifies 1 class that modloader modifies. (Phase 1 of goal 4). Unless everything will start breaking.
Except my mod already has heart container and hearts? And has had them for over a month?
True and I honestly did not know.(Till shen posted) Haha I had trouble saving the new max health for over 3 days :3.
But yeah, my mod I'm planning to have it work in general and not just suited for a dungeon style adventure (which I applaud you for). Our heart functions are fundamentally different though. Im making an educated guess here, but your heart containers are scripted in right? And you technically dont have a limit for your max health? I didnt read much into your guiingame code, but if the health keeps raising, the GUI will keep going in a straight line and eventually hit the armor gui.
I've decided to keep a log of all the mods I've collected for easier compatibility checks

And these are backburner awaiting further inspection:
I honestly can't believe my game still loads.
Yeah, I didn't care that you went ahead and did something I already did was more puzzled by someone thinking my mod should be combined with yours. I was mainly checking the thread to see if there was anything interesting I should consider.
On the code actually after 10 hearts it doesn't show anymore on the UI (so it will look like you aren't losing life). I was planning to make it so it have more rows but not a rush yet. Also planning to get around to pieces of heart since want to hide 4 pieces per episode to give a reason to explore the overworld.
Edit: Heh fixing the bad quote surrounding. Also should say glad someone has done this also so no one asks me to split off my hearts in addition to every other feature I've implemented.

Nerd, geek, server admin, guy wearing a rainbow skin (with an office suit of epicness)? That's me.
Myst, once I finish mod loader compatibility (both faces so I no longer use EE as well (which conflicted with that gold mod you had) it should be fine, unless the other mods you listed conflicts.
I understand, and I see. And no problem!
