both versions of the mod seem to be having trouble when it comes to BetterLight. in simple tunnels like the ones you show in the videos, it looks great, but when the landscape is confusing it seems to break a little.
for instance, at one point the game still seemed to think it was daytime, as light was pouring in through a hole into the night, but when i went over there with a torch it made the fake light disappear. this was reproducable if i went back into my tunnel and came out. if i put the torch away, the light didnt show up in the first place.
also worth noting is if i walked through a confusing tunnel, then turned around, areas would still be lit up as if i was standing there, but would quickly go out as i was looking at them.
This has to due with the torch is adding more updates faster than the game can go through the updates without hurting the frame rate too much. If you stop moving or put away the torch you should see the terrain update. Need to probably adjust how it decides to do render chunk updates.

You're a lone commando tasked to destroy the Nazi Zombie Federation's dam.
I am also having the same issue running this with Auto-Equip (which in itself is a godsend).
Is there any way to make these 2 mods compatible?
Thanks.

I saw that too. Sometimes the area get dark. ;x
Yeah, i've got the same problems and i think there weren't bugs with the previous version
Cryect: Have you looked at mob behavior at all? Combining this with a tweak to hostile mob behavior would be incredible - not acquiring/dropping knowledge of player location after five or ten seconds if the player is 1)not moving or 2)moving but crouching or 3)not lit by at least 10% light and in all cases so long as they're more than one meter away. Would make early-game spelunking on Hard with your torch mod amazingly tense but possible!
Cryect, I want to thank you again. Out of all the mods I have installed, this one feels like it belongs in the official releases the most :biggrin.gif: I really like how smooth it feels now, and man is it helpful.. I was wondering though, could you add the same effect to lightstone, except brighter? It doesn't feel right that I'm holding Lightstone blocks in my hand and they don't glow at all, yet when I place them they shine like crazy.

Opened minecraft.jar wirh IZArc (Program I found to open .jar files)
Deleted the META-INF folder
Copied CLASS files into minecraft.jar
i'm going to guess and say that you haven't installed Modloader? You need that to use this mod. Modloader is installed the same as this one is, just toss the files into minecraft.jar (btw you can use Winrar or 7zip to open .jar :tongue.gif:)

However, When I try to install it, same problem. Minecraft loads to 'Done Loading', but doesn't go beyond that, and has about 1/16 bar left black (rather than green) on the loading bar.
Only thought I have now is should I not be replacing the files when I copy?
all I can say is completely redownload Minecraft, install your mods again, and delete only MOJANG files in META-INF. Hope that helped.
^This, but try installing Modloader first, then this mod, then deleting the META-INF folder.
Even if order doesn't matter, if you're new to modding it's easier to get confused, so following a step by step instruction can be handy until you get the hang of it.
delete .minecraft to reset things
run minecraft, downloading all the files
close minecraft
open .minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar in my .jar opener
copy all files from (appropriate download folder) into the .jar opener
delete META-INF folder (and contents with it)
close .jar opener
open minecraft

First off, awesome mod and great work!!

What a critic, this looks smooth as lube. You're a peach.
Crazycraft II '99 Deluxe : 1.2.5DEPRECATEDProsdod's Pack '77 Arcade Turbo Deluxury 8 Cylinder 1.5 for Minecraft version 1.8.X: The spiritual successor to Crazycraft II '99 Deluxe.
Must be due to always sorting then so it would often get to other stuff when it wasn't sorted as a result.

Just to make sure; here's what I'm doing:
delete .minecraft to reset things
run minecraft, downloading all the files
close minecraft
open .minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar in my .jar opener
copy all files from (appropriate download folder) into the .jar opener
delete META-INF folder (and contents with it)
close .jar opener
open minecraft
watch as minecraft doesn't load fully...
