Hey tiger, I have the KZ i want to use, I tried to put it into server jar and the minecraft jar didn't work. In my minecraft_server.jar where do I play the jc.class? Do I just drop it in to the main directory or any other place? Also is that pic from SSP or SMP? I'm trying to get mine to work in SMP.

And after I deleted the whole .minecraft in app data to get a fresh start it gave some kind of security error for gg.class file I don't know I'm about to give up on this.
Huzzah, I figured it out! It was as simple as having a HD texture pack for the size I was trying to use for the kz file was 1024x1024 I put viewtopic.php?f=1021&t=65936 (AaGeOn's BumpMaft texture pack) in and BAM it worked with all my HDishpics :biggrin.gif: ty for the gg and jc files!

I've been talking to 303 on #Risucraft, I think he said he isnt going to bother updating Punch-A-Picture.
I was just lookin at that, i thought i found all the new (classes,methods,variables) since i don't have any errors in eclipse. When i run it i get "incompatible argument to function" in method k of ma (entitypainting). Maybe 303 would like to see what i have ?.
Edit: I was pretty tired last night when i tried this (not a good way to work), so i started with a fresh jar. For the most part it does work, you can cycle through the pictures but they are ejected from the wall after about 5 seconds. Now i'm off to see what is causing that.
Edit 2: Success everything seems to work correctly now. Correction crashes next time you load save.

I took the gg.class and dropped it into the appdata/.../.../bin/mincraft.jar (also threw it into the minecraft-1.2_01.jar and minecraft-1.2_02.jar for good measure).

I've had a crack at this myself (although I'm a java noob).
@Megadog I'm not sure about those long paintings, I had trouble placing paintings bigger than 5x5m in minecraft (6x4 and 4x6 specifically.) The textures align fine but the painting shifts itself half a meter in the direction of the largest dimension.
I'll try to put a guide together to make your own... java tools required (but free!)
To correct the alignment you need to edit "private float c" in ma.class, you may need to add for other sizes just play around with it.

The paintings placed are completely random, if you did see a yellow 4x4 painting then it is working.

I literally sat there for 10 minutes placing pictures, and the only one that came up that wasn't already in a slot used by my previous texture pack was the yellow 4x4. That seems like a steep coincidence.

I double checked the file and it turns out that yellow 4x4 is a duplicate of a stock painting location, you didn't actually see any of the new locations.
That is why Punch a picture and the placement guide are handy. Unfortunately i only updated punch a picture for SSP, perhaps i'll take a look and see what can be done for SMP.
Edit: After some SMP testing of punch a picture (which does work by the way), as things stand the results are below. I just want to test a couple of things before i release the server version later today. I will also include the alignment fix i mentioned above.
1. server and client both contain more paintings and punch a picture everything works as normal. Once you leave the server and reconnect any existing paintings you try to change the change is not seen until you reconnect again. Best solution for this is to just take the painting down and place the painting you do want. Draw backs are that any client that tries to connect without more paintings will crash. Best solution for this is #2.
2.server only contains punch a picture and client contains both punch a picture and more paintings. Same as #1 except since the server does not have more paintings, any paintings that are not default you will only see as non default until next reconnect. Plus side is that any client can join with any combination of the two mods or neither of the mods.
When I try and use this mod, the pictures I photoshopp'd in myself don't show up in the game. Is there a certain way you make the pictures show up? Either than that, great mod.
It's inside the art folder. I just put two pictures on the new blank spots, the rest are all still colored blocks (wanted to test it out). I can still only see the original paintings and the new "purple" paintings.

It goes in the 'art' folder inside minecraft.jar, not in the root of minecraft.jar
(I did that once, and got the same problem.)
