I put these mods...
SettingsAPI0.9.3alpha_1.1_02
IngameInvedit1.1_02+a
I think the problem mgiht be in the name itself. It says alpha, did I infact download the wrong version by any chance? I'm using both at the same time, and I have no other mods. All the .class files in the two zips or rars I just put in the minecraft.jar root file and not any seperate files inside the jar. If for some reason you would like the know the files that were in these zips or rars, feel free to just give a class, I would do anything to get this working!
you've made a typical mistake, you forgot to delete META-INF. I'm not going to bash you too hard since I've been doing it too, just for your information, anything where the error is "SHA1 digest error", the problem is almost certainly that you need to delete META-INF. the other thing is that you need modloader in order to use ingameinvedit; if you don't have modloader, ingameinvedit simply will fail to register.

Hm--- this needed Modloader? I didn't know that, now I would go fix it if Minecraft didn't have these annoying seperation lines now :U
Also thanks, I must've not erased it when I decided to restart the jar.
ok, I'm going to bash you a little harder for missing that it needs modloader. if you'd read my list of prerequisites for use of my mods you'd have seen that all my mods require modloader. even the settings api, which has no mod_ classes.
I'm not going to be as ticked off as I would have or as other modders have been however as I've been finding out just how easy it is to miss documentation. if people waste my time considerably I'll still get ticked off, but missing documentation isn't as big as people make it out to be. even though it's still pretty big.
on a sidenote: settings api twl version should release tomorrow! has two major bugs still, but they're somewhat edge-case, and are only "major", not "critical". you shouldn't resize the minecraft window while on a TWL screen and click-and-drag doesn't work. no other known major bugs though, and two major requested features (proper scrolling and subscreens) are solved Just Like That (tm) by using TWL.

released said update! see OP. currently ironing out API issues and will probably have 0.9.5 out soon, along with an API that I'm really starting to be happy with.

For starving you could make the health bar effectively shrink so that as you get hungrier you lose the ability to regain full health. Of course this would would only actually work once you increase the time it takes to starve.

you need to copy EVERYTHING, dumbass. not just the ones that say "unicorn". not even just the ones that make you feel good inside. if you need help doing that, read http://tinyurl.com/nice-tutorial all the way through.

The mcpatcher texture patcher clashes with your twl upgrade. Could you pretty please with a cherry on top release an older version that doesn't have the twl? And if it helps, the chunk of the log containing the error.

Found Minecraft: net/minecraft/client/Minecraft.class

I have attempted removing these two files in hopes of the patcher installing it. The patcher runs, but the game crashes when I try to open the mod settings in game, most likely because of needed data being moved with the two files.
Edit: It's not a mod patcher, it's the HD texture fix patcher. Texture packs.

wait wait wait. let me get this straight: you're *using a single-mod patcher* and your *game is breaking*. no crap!
advice for next time: don't use a single-mod patcher. there are WIP many-mod patchers that as far as I know will work fine with normal mods, but in the meantime, you don't want to use a patcher if you don't have to. if you do, however, make sure to do the patcher BEFORE EVERYTHING ELSE, or you will have problems such as you do there, where it seems to have decided that part of the TWL renderer is main minecraft.

Minecraft is crashing whenever I try to open the "Mod Settings..." screen in the option menu.
I am only using "Settings API 0.9.4" - I am not using any other mods, and I am using the default textures.
I am running Linux.
I am using "ModLoader Beta 1.1_02" from here
These are the steps I took to install your mod:
0. Start with a plain vanilla minecraft installation by deleting ~/.minecraft/bin/ and ~/.minecraft/resources/
1. run minecraft.jar launcher to download the most up to date files
Minecraft Beta 1.1_02
2. add files from "ModLoader Beta 1.1_02.rar" into ~/.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar
4. add files and folders from "SettingsAPI0.9.4alpha-1.1_02.zip" into ~/.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar
5. run minecraft.jar launcher and start Minecraft
6. start a brand new world
7. press <ESC> then go to "Options", then press "Mod Settings..."

Everything works properly now that I extracted all the files.

when i put settings api in, everything works fine, its just that the ui switches from Mixcraft to the default minecraft ui. did i miss something or is that just what happens?
EDIT: i copied everything but the gui folder in the rar, fixed my problem.
also the rar is called alpha-1.1_02? not beta-1.1_02?

#1 it's not a rar.
#2 even if it was a rar, it's SettingsAPI[APIVERSION]-[MINECRAFTVERSION].zip, so it's settings api 0.9.4alpha for minecraft 1.1_02.

3. delete ~/.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar/META-INF/ folder
4. add files and folders from "SettingsAPI0.9.4alpha-1.1_02.zip" into ~/.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar
5. run minecraft.jar launcher and start Minecraft
6. start a brand new world
7. press <ESC> then go to "Options", then press "Mod Settings..."
8. ERROR:
Thank you for your time and for a great mod!
thanks for giving such a detailed error report. you must copy all files and directories (you might know directories as folders) to the minecraft jar. :smile.gif:
that is a good idea, I'll do that when I next work on ingameinvedit.

Ach I'm a dumbass. I think I forgot to select the Widget* class files at the end of the zipfile.
Everything works properly now that I extracted all the files.
