Ok, so I love this mod. Absolutely LOVE IT!! But I have one problem. How the hell do I update it? I have the old one that doesn't have sharks installed already. How do I install the new version? I know this is noobish of me, but I can't seem to make it work. I can't install the new version overtop of the old one or else it black screens on me! HELP!!!

I had the same problem with an earlier version. Lost 3 pegys from it =l. I still don't know how to do that haha.
My best guess is to just uninstall the entire thing and reinstall it.
I'm having trouble with mine (Note- I'm using TFC's mod manager). I tried to install SDK's mods, and Mo creatures at the same time, and they didnt work. I tried to uninstall both, so I could do one at a time, but I wasnt sure how, so I just deleted all their folders and files. Now, when I install Mo Creatures, it doesnt work as well, there are no new animals. Can anyone explain what I need to do to completely get rid of all mod files, so I can redo it from the start?

Hi guys. Just wanna check if anyone else has the same problem as I do. When I install the mod. Everything appears fine. Animals and ogres and stuff spawn. But when I change the settings for a mob spawn, eg ogres under the hostile creatures menu in mod settinsg, lets say to hard, the ogres still spawn on normal and easy. Why is this so? I've had ogres ruining my wonderful houses and stuff on easy. They only don't spawn in peaceful. Or at least I haven't seen any. And when I say "they" I mean any mob that I've changed the settings. Does the MOD SETTINGS menu for Mo' Creatures even work?? And I've had some issues regarding this mod and the pirates from Humans+. Any way to get around the BILLIONS of pirates spawning? Apparantly it's because the Humans+ and Mo'creatures have something that clashes causing the pirates to spawn infinitely. It sucks. It's ruining my game. TWO AWESOME MODS COMBINED TOGETHER RUINING MY GAME!! WHY?! Urgh. Need help to resolve this please. XS

Notice there are individual difficulty settings for Ogres.
Does anyone know if there is a way to disable specific mobs with this mod? Ogres keep spawning near/inside my house as I am building it every night and destroying it. I've tried building walls to keep them out, but they still get in and destroy all of my work (I'm not using INVedit or any other hacks/mods, so it is very time-consuming and costly for me). I tried editing one of the spawn files in my Minecraft.jar and it just looked like gibberish.
Any help or ideas would be very much appreciated.

Combine the two, and you have a pretty user-friendly way of configuring how one program interacts with another. E.g. in-game editing of settings for the Mo' Creatures mod, so you don't have to use an external editor on a text file.
DrZhark (or anyone well-versed in the mechanics of this mod):
Does the horse spawn limit in the settings include tamed horses? I.e., if the horse spawn limit is 15 and I have 15 tamed horses in my world, does than mean that no horses will spawn in the wild? Or does the spawn limit only apply to spawned, wild horses?
Basically I want to know if I need to up the horse spawn limit now that I am collecting lots of tamed horses for breeding. I want to keep a "natural" spawn rate for wild horses, but I'm not sure if my stabled horses count against the cap. Thanks in advance.
I hope this mod gets updated soon so it's compatible to Beta 1.3
On another note,
When I throw a shark egg into water (or anywhere else), I just see a flat shark fin in the stone, which means if I throw it into a pool of water the flat fin will appear on the lowest blocks. After a while I can pick up the egg again.
Can anyone help me with this obvious bug?
yea, but I think DrZhark said something about moving IRL so it could take a while.
In that case I might just forget about my horses for the time being. I only had 2 pegasus and 2 unicorns. It wouldn't take long to regain it, especially since I don't really use them that much.
does this work with 1.3 and are regular creatures still in game when you have the mod installed?
As with every major update, this mod is broken. Yes, the regular pigs, cows, creepers, etc are still in-game with the mod installed, hence the "mo' " in the title (mo' means more).

Delete the Bin folder.

When an update comes, do I have to re-download the mod?
And what happens with the horses I have tamed? Do they dissapear?

This is why you do not open your horse filled worlds before the mod has been updated.
