What happend?
Something's causing a conflict with the Recipe Book, you can't turn the pages. The mods I have are Arrowmod, Auidomod, Modloader, Spawner GUI, Deathchest, and Recipe Book.
Ok I know this is probably some really simple problem but I first used MCPatcher to install all my mods. when 1.1.0 came out I tried to download the new mod loader and MC crashed. So I deleted all other mods and tried again and it crashed again. So I went straight to the MC.jar and manually put in all the files for mod loader using winRAR. And then I tried opening MC and again it crashed. Why is this happening and what can I do to fix it?
This is the message MC is feeding me:

"Don't know why you should feel that there's something to learn... it's just a game that you play."
Not sure what you mean about a website not working, seems to go to the right place for me. Of course, today (18th January) is SOPA/PIPA blackout day, and the OP is not there, but I'm sure it will be back tomorrow, have a little patience. And if you're a US citizen, sign one of the many petitions against SOPA/PIPA. Heck, sign one even if you're not a US citizen, just use a generic zip code like 10101 which should be somewhere in NYC.
I really think you should consider to express your disclaimer in more polite terms.
Please explain why one should be required to be "polite" to someone who does not make the effort to follow the instructions provided. I'm certain that someone who politely says "I have read the instructions and tried to follow them, but I am unclear on something" will get the help he needs.
Someone who cannot even be bothered to read and follow the instructions is essentially saying "I feel as if my time is more important than yours; I cannot make the effort to do it for myself, so you should do it for me". That's not at all polite.
As I've stated elsewhere, courtesy is a virtue - but virtues are traits that only have value when reciprocated. Being as polite to a rude person as one is to a kind person not only diminishes the value of courtesy, but it rewards the impolite and does a disservice to those who make the effort to be polite in return.
So let me put it in more polite terms: If you cannot make the effort to follow instructions, we will not make any effort to assist you.
My personal opinion is that someone who can't read the big bold text at the beginning is a "dumbass", and I'd rather spend my effort helping someone who's made an effort of their own. I will not be an enabler to the lazy or the obtuse.

I am having trouble with the new version of mod loader.
I have minecraft 1.1.0
and trying the new version of modloader causes minecraft to crash, unfortunately I can't copy out error because it closes too fast for me to highlight and copy it.
I've tried it with several different mods, and with no other mods at all. and it still crashes.
I've confirmed the version of modloader with what's downloaded from your link.
(obviosly I've deleted meta-inf, and am using a fresh jar downloaded from the server so no other mods installed.)
the mods I've tried it with are:
toomanyitems
smart moving(and player api)
buildcraft
I've unstalled each one by itself and they all behave the same, as well as just modloader without any other mods installed(which I assume would mean it's modloader's fault unless modloader needs a mod to run correctly).
just wondering if there's anyone else having this trouble?
Edit:
Stupid me, I skimmed through about 300 pages before I just decided to skip to the end and see if the problem was near the end, didn't see it, so I posted my question, and then started working backwards, found it on the SECOND to last page, thanks to KayceW(hope I spelt that right)
TL:DR the forum I guess,
For anyone else who does the same, The fix was to delete the mods folder.

I have question about spawner gui. I am currently in the process of making adventure map with ComputerCraft and PowerCraft and I'd like to know if I can use Spawner Gui.
I mean if I use it, would people without this mod installed be able to play my map?
As far as I know, the spawners are set and will save & function properly on a system without the mod.

MCpatcher currently isn't compatible with Toomanyitems mod, which are both up to date. The MCPatcher I'm using is 2.3.1, I'd like to know how to fix this problem or see a patch coming soon.
GREAT MOD! I think you should add an arrow called the "Dark Arrow" and what it does is it puts obsidian down and to make it you need obsidian, stick, and feather Also you should make a dark bow which is the only bow that can shoot the Dark Arrows and it has the purple nether portal particles coming from it. that's my opinion.Again AWESOME MOD!

Jan 18, 2012 2:58:20 PM ModLoader AddAllRenderers
FINE: Initialized
As far as I know, the spawners are set and will save & function properly on a system without the mod.
Post modloader.txt (in your .minecraft folder) or use this to get an error report:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22096331/debug/minecrafterrortest.bat
(might not work on a mac)
Or use the texture patcher to install mods, it's easier. Start from a clean jar first.

That give you a hint? Go complain to the heroes guild people.
