I'm getting an error message using Modloader 1.1 in a clean Minecraft.jar file, nothing installed BUT modloader, not a black screen but the error message disappears before I can printscreen it.

Biosphere.cfg isn't showing up in my config folder. How do I fix it?
did you just put the biosphere zip in the mod folder or did you open it and add the contents to your .jar file?
I was having trouble with biosphere cause i was placing it in the mod folder, but when i added the contents to my .jar file it is working nicely.

I opened it and put it in the .jar like with the other mods. All the files are in .jar its just not showing up in the config folder.
Your Shelf mod doesn't seem to show any Railcraft-related objects. They all turn into tiny lunchbox-like things when on a shelf.
BuildCraft blocks also aren't showing. Yet, it shows RedPower 2-related blocks.
This is using the 1.0.0 version. This seems rather upsetting how I wanted to make a Railcraft store in my map, and it won't show the items.
Anyone know new syntax for old (Beta 1.8) modlaoder function thats giving me this error?
src\minecraft\net\minecraft\src\mod_Obsidian.java:45: cannot find symbol
symbol : constructor ItemArmor(int,int,int,int)
location: class net.minecraft.src.ItemArmor
obsidianHelmet = (new ItemArmor(30001, 3, ModLoader.AddArmor("ob
sidian"), 0)).setItemName("obsidianHelmet");
^
Just need new syntax for same declaration as above ^
I must sound like a total idiot here, but how can I get the Biospheres mod to start? I put all the necessary .class files of ModLoader 1.1, AudioMod 1.1, and Biospheres 1.1 in my minecraft.jar file. I'm using a texturepack, so I use MCPatcher before I install mods so there isn't a META-INF folder in the .jar file. I then start Minecraft and it starts fine, but when I create a new game, it's normal, no biospheres! What did I do wrong and how can I fix it?
THANKS!
Create a new world, and under world type, select biosphere
What if this comes up: "java.io.FileNotFoundExeption:/ /Users/<my username>/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar" after I put "jar xf ~/Library/Application\ Support/minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar" what should I do?
it says i have to update java but i did already and java is fully updated please help and contact me as soon as possible

Are you on mac? If you've run the software updater, then you have the most recent version, which is 6 last I checked. If something you're running needs java 7, then you're out of luck, complain to Apple about it. In the meantime, don't run that mod.
Ummmm I am a noob at installing mods, trying to install modloader on mac Did the termenal thing by copying and pasting nothing happened, What now?
*EDIT*
Come on guys please help!
Ok, I have dled this mod before and have sucessfuly made it run. However, now when I dl this again, and do it all over again, it breaks down and I have proof of this.

and the only mod I have atm is Single player commands, which is 1.1 updated.
For some reason, when I install Modloader, It fu*ks up my textures (default).
Are you running the texture patcher? If you install modloader after running the texture patcher, it will overwrite the changes made by the texture patcher. Get a clean jar and install modloader with the texture patcher, be sure it's at the top of the list.
Disclaimer: I'm quite good at following directions but in general when it comes to technical computer stuff like coding, I don't know what I'm doing so when something goes wrong, I'm not very helpful. I know this very well.
So to continue - I installed the ModLoader just as said, got the .jar open with 7zip, moved all the ModLoader files where the other .class files were, and loaded Minecraft. Past the login screen, the window turns black and stays that way indefinitely. I haven't tampered with the .jar other than that. If I go back to the .jar and delete all the files that belong to the mod and those only, I still get a black screen.
Yes. I did delete the META-INF file.
Since it seems like others are having problems, consider this more of a report than a true complaint. As for getting you more information than just a black screen - I ran the Linux version but no error report or anything comes up...at least, I don't think so. Maybe it's behind all that black screen.
EDIT:
I saw the above post, didn't know where the 'force update' button was, found it by a crazy random happenstance, and now things are working fine with the modloader. Hopefully when I add mods everything still works fine. Thanks
However, I'm still really confused about how to install the sound mod thing. Where do those files go? Just into the jar? ^^;
Like it says in the OP, install all files/folders from the mod zip into the jar file.
I'm getting an error message using Modloader 1.1 in a clean Minecraft.jar file, nothing installed BUT modloader, not a black screen but the error message disappears before I can printscreen it.
Can you please help? When I install Modloader, the game will get to the Mojang screen and after a bit of waiting, it will start to flicker between an error report and a black screen. Eventually, it will get to the error report, but crashes before I can copy it. This was on a fresh minecraft.jar and I deleted META-INF. I tested with META-INF, but same results. Btw I'm running 1.1. :sad.gif:

Finally got my thing to work!! I had like 1.0 mods in my mods folder (I never put things in there, must have been MCPatcher last time.) And evertime it would load, I would get errors like, can't load rei's minimap, and I was thinking, I don't have that...But Yeah, I found out why(:
So always clear out your mods folder if you update your minecraft up and have lower version mods installed.
Risugami Very Nice Mods... Not what they offer, but how fast they update , and I love how you keep everything updated almost, most of the time, each one updated right away, Congrats! Keep updating, too bad not most mods do this , But still Congrats to all mods ! Oh and also more farming mods please!

Weird, don't know offhand what that means. Could be a bad download of the mods zip file or a bad install. Try again with fresh downloads of everything.
same here!!!
did you just put the biosphere zip in the mod folder or did you open it and add the contents to your .jar file?

Interesting
I went and checked my config folder and I have two in there:
Biosphere.cfg
mod_biosphere.cfg
so something has to be blocking it, i wish i knew more to help you :sad.gif:

No, seriously, check it out. It's got content!

You're on mac, right? Use the texture patcher to install mods, it's easier. Start from a clean jar first.

I tried and there's no option for biosphere world type.=/
I would survive 32 days in a creeper apocalypse.
Try re-installing I guess.
Yeah, it works fine, at least when installed correctly, or when there are no old mods in the mods folder.
