SHA224, SHA256, SHA364, and SHA512? Yes, good buddies. Not sure what a cryptographic hash has to do with encryption though, or what the point would be to encrypt packets of data when this modifies core game logic, or encrypting game traffic other than the login sequence. That said, if notch DOES implement serverside entities, it won't stop singleplayer usage, which in truth is what I made it for.

Man, I'm a bit confused x_X I thought this was a really cool idea, but I hated the fact of giving up the original boat, as well as having an amazing hover boat for the same "price" in materials. I started looking through your mod, ShaRose, and figured... it shouldn't be that hard to make it a new, separate item! However... ugh.
I assumed it would be as simple as adding the new foodstuffs like others have. I'm pretty sure I'm wrong, though. di.java suggests that the boat is... a new "me.class" item, and I have no clue how that ties in to "dc.class" at the moment ><; I'm guessing that dc.class just tells the game what to do while you're riding a boat? If that's the case... I'm not sure what to do! I don't really have a lot of coding experience, and that seems to be too much of a modification.
On top of that, I would also assume that the minecarts and boats have a more hardcoded skin... which means more difficulty in making a new, separate boat :\ Oh well! I'd love to be wrong, if someone can point it out to this java newbie xD

I love this idea as well as the fast, non-breaking boat, but I gotta ask; how likely is it you'll do a version where these are crafted differently, as new items? I'd hate to lose the basic boat..

Am I the only person that is worried about this being used for cheating/griefing? It would be cool if it was a server mod, but this really isn't helping the majority of server-owners that don't want their players flying around (and there are plugins out there for the ones that do).

For anyone interested, here's a simple texture (I created in about 10 min.) that makes the boat look like a flying carpet:
Place it in your item folder. (If you require further assistance with swapping out the files, PM me.)
