Unfortunately, this might be a confusing introduction. About a decade ago I started working on a ridiculous, beautiful, monster of a survival map called Sphere, I worked on the thing for three years like it was my part time job. It's still one of my proudest creations. I totally abandoned it, I was going through a lot of stress, when everything had settled I'd moved on to other things. Minecraft has moved on, I regret not continuing it in some form. That being said, my 16 year old autistic ass blessed the world with this.
It was a struggle to get the clunky old thing working again but it was a delight going through the nostalgia. I couldn't help dust some things off and made an update.
I hate to let good work go to waste, and I am a special kind of pandemic bored. Here it is, current as of now. Still very much a work in progress.
Like my other projects, I'm likely to make small incremental edits between Minecraft's own updates, and I likely wont announce minor tweaks unless I really want to show something off. I think I've saved over Sphere 3 times since it was "officially re-launched".
I've updated lot of the decoration, and added more contemporary rewards for dungeons. I've dotted more hermit settlements across the map. Squared away the "Jungle Tree House", which was one of my earliest builds and was kinda bothering me.
The Conifer/Granite island is basically brand new.
The settlement in the desert zone, got a bit away on me, and I'm not sure how I want to proceed, its very colorful, and while pleasing in a way isn't the point of the zone.
Teenage me was a bit sloppy with the terrain generation, as I make these zones more dense, I'm finding terrain to be a more critical part of the build and it's been a constant effort to clean that up. Probably half of what I've been up to.
Cleaned up the "Spicy" zone and added "Nether Update terrain", will probably go deeper into that. Not sure which Zone will get the Aquatic Update, probably not this one.

I have no idea if you're still working on this project or something else, but whatever it is, keep the work up! You've got insane potential - I've never seen anybody make a survival map in Minecraft this huge before! And to think the bulk of it was made ten years ago is difficult to understand.
I'm currently exploring it in survival mode and the amount of content to explore is incomprehensible. After 15 hours of exploring I've only almost explored like 25% of the map. Since I'm playing in Minecraft version 1.19.2, walking through the structures largely built in 2012 feels like fever-dream with the occasional element of features from more recent versions like scaffolding and crimson trees. A most peculiar experience, and I feel a need to know what more there is to find!
So good luck using your extreme dedication in the future, I'm sure it will be of help. I can relate.

To add an extra layer of confusion, I was able to get my old account back. Will update the map later today, same link will work.
This brings back so many memories. Definitly have to have a run trough this again!
