Have you ever noticed how cohesive Minecraft's generation system is?
Have you ever wanted your land to look like it has corrupted over and over again?
Have you just ever wanted a little chaos?
Well, then you are in luck. Welcome to The Cursed Isle!
I am currently working on a map that chooses from a large amount of hand-made templates and smashes them together to make a super unique survival experience. To add onto the chaos, it will also randomize the difficulty (excluding peaceful), if you have infinite lives or one, and how many curses are thrown on top of your little slice.
What are curses?
Well it will be a range of effects that can be placed on your world to effect your game play. Usually in some annoying or bad way. The number will be most likely randomized between 1 - All.
A few of them being:
- Stronger Mobs (Monsters with more gear and creepers automatically spawning charged)
- Natural Healing Disabled (Stock up on those potions and golden apples)
- Perma-Night (No more sun for you)
What are some of the templates going to be?
The templates are going to range from chunks of your standard biome (forest, mountains, desert, etc.), classic survival maps (skyblock, survival island, etc.), and templates that follow certain themes (abandoned city, cobweb cube, etc.). I want to have a super wide range so it can look as distorted as possible. All the templates will follow a size rule of seven by seven chunks so it doesn't take forever for the commands to generate the new world.
Anything you can do?
Why, yes! There are plenty of things you can do. If you have any ideas for curses, feel free to drop them below. And if you want to contribute to the design of some of the templates, feel free. Drop some maps of your own creation or ones you want to possibly add in. I will most likely continue to update this to up the craziness every month of the year. (Depends on my free time though) And if you have nothing you want to add, feel free to send some people you know who like to make maps my way. I would love for them to contribute a creation of theirs into the collection!
