So a friend and I began working on a Minecraft Version of Fortnite, and w got a few concepts down that will be featured on the map. Basically, it's going to work like a survival mode, where you spend the day looting, gathering etc, and during the night you have to defend the base. Here is what we have so far:
The bar at the top is the health of the Atlas, and as mobs attack it, the Atlas will kill them, but it will take damage. If the Atlas takes to much damage, it will reset, but you will lose any progress on your current wave, and will have to start over. Once the night is over, the Atlas will be healed however, and the map will be expanded allowing you to explore more areas of the map. The more areas you explore, the more you will find. I also plan on adding a leveling system too, so as you progress thru waves, the mobs will increase in difficulty.
The way looting works is that you will find different weapons and tools around the map, to aid you in your survival. Epic (Purple) and Legendary (Red) weapons will spawn danger around, which is just the risk you take when looting. As for the traps and building, we are still talking about that. Since mobs cant break blocks, what I am probably going to is have just some walls around the Atlas that can take damage, but can also be repaired as well with different materials. We are still planning this out. As for traps, we are somewhat limited, because traps equal a lot of Redstone, which can cause a lot of lag, but they some ideas can still be done.
The map is still a work-in-progress and I plan on sharing more as I complete more, but as of now this is what I have. If you have any ideas leave them in the comments below. Also, I will need a city map, that is similar to Fortnite for the map to be built on. If there are any builders please contact me, about building. Thanks.
