You wake up after a shipwreck, dazed and confused. Who are you? Where were you going? Where did you come from? What is this place? Only time will tell...
Island Adventure is an ambitious project, to say the least. The island itself spans 3000x3000 blocks, houses multiple dungeons, and tons of scenery and locations to explore.
Gameplay
Island Adventure is heavily based on "Legend of Zelda" mechanics, where each new piece of equipment allows you to access new areas, fight stronger monsters, and allow you to explore the island in its entirety. This includes custom items like Spell Books, armor with unique capabilities, and tools that can destroy specific blocks that might block your pathway.
In total, there are 10 unique items for you to collect, each of which will allow you to explore the island in its entirety.
Scenery
Custom Mobs (Only a few, to avoid giving away all the surprises)
Unique Puzzles
This is the part I'm most proud of. Island Adventure boasts several custom puzzles, but none are as complex to create or as fun to solve as the tile puzzles (you will recognize them if you've played a Pokemon game before).
The redstone for two of the tile puzzles are completed so far; there are plans for there to be at least six in total (but space for up to eight).
Custom Textures/Items
A lot of the textures have been edited, some simply for aesthetic, others for actual gameplay purposes.
Custom Sounds
A lot of things have new sounds, from mobs to ambient noises to even music disks. The main purpose is to add immersion with those noises, since some of the mobs sound goofy without different sounds now.
Redstone
As you can probably gather based on the images and things I've described thus far, Island Adventure uses a lot of redstone. Some of it does use the new command blocks, but since there are still some issues with those being a bit glitchy in the final release, I've elected to use some complex workarounds instead.
Completion
Scenery - 100%
Custom Mobs - 70%
Unique Puzzles - 70%
Custom Items/Textures - 100%
Custom Sounds (Yep, there's those, too!) - 100%
Redstone - 30% (Yeahhhhhhh there's a lot of it)
Estimated time of completion: sometime this summer. So the map will be topical, at least!
Can I test it?
Maybe. Right now I just want to gauge interest; if there's a lot of requests, I might make it available as a WIP playable map. I really don't like doing that sort of thing, though, so I'll probably wait until it's finished.

This looks amazing! I'm horrible with redstone and I'm not an amazing builder, but I'd love to be a beta-tester if possible.

Thanks! I'll admit I'm no master with redstone, but I've spent a lot of time tinkering around to figure some things out.
I'm hoping to have a sort of "Beta" version ready by the end of the week. I'll keep you posted.
