I've always considered myself halfway decent at redstone. I've made several creations in superflat worlds, and I understand command blocks pretty well. One way I like to use my redstone, "skills" in a more practical way is through minecraft maps. Yet, only a few of my adventure maps have actually included a substantial amount of redstone in them. That's why I decided to try my hand at making a puzzle map.
This map is what I consider my first attempt at a real redstone-heavy map. The idea is simple. You are dropped into a world with a singular 5x5 house. On the exterior, the house appears small, normal, and completely uninteresting. But, once you enter inside, the real map begins. You make your way through a puzzle in the small, "hub" area, before you find a way into the bottom layer of the house. This layer includes multiple puzzles including water puzzles, pressure plate puzzles, survival puzzles, mazes, and more.
The map is not designed to be very long (probably 20-30 minutes depending on skill level), and includes more redstone than I've ever put into one of my maps. Now, if someone like Sethbling looked at this map, they probably wouldn't make the same claims, but so far, I am proud of the work I have done, since it's way more than I've ever even attempted.
At the end of the map, I am planning that you will be brought back to the surface where fireworks will launch, and a title command will play. You will then be brought into gamemode 3, where you can explore all of the redstone that will be completely hidden from the player.
Anyways, this map is still VERY WIP! I have only made one of the six or seven puzzles I plan to have in this map. Thanks for reading this thread, and I will put the link to the full map in the description when it is finished.
