Hmmm. I'd say there should be a way to make this as much like a RPG a possible. Features would include a VAST world with at least 3 kingdoms, 9 cities, dozens of villages and hamlets and hundreds of quests along with a player economy and an open world.
The idea presented is cool, but I dont plan on making a medieval build. It is fantasy, but will include a large map. It WILL also have some currency, and also have many quests and aspects that are like an RPG.
I have explored that option. However if you do the teleport npc to play in order to detect the player's right click, you would have a problem. I AM planning to do them but most likely as spell BOOKS where you have a set of spell you can select with each book. When you click the text in the book, a spell will be executed and it will kick you out of the book. I will have a preview snapshot soon.
What do you mean "have a problem" You could use a playerid system and just teleport the villager to the person if they have ?<number>player id.
Go on my account, and you'll see a page that has a playerid one command creation made by AbsentFuture.
It works! (Also use timers, if you know what i mean (scoreboard players remove @a <objective> 1 then connect it to a clock) and then detect if it's <number> score)
And spellbooks don't work if you're using triggers because then they could just activate it outside of the book anyway.
Also if you just use a regular command for scoreboard, if they're not opped, it won't work.
I have already worked things out. Using villagers is good, but it is NOT IN ANYWAY compatable with a large number of players on the server. People will lag, people will die, people will cry, and people will quit. Also if a villager is teleported to the player it can make zombies confused and hit it instead of the player, even if there is no AI. Furthermore players CAN activate the command with the chat BUT I will not allow the trigger(with a command) to be used unless the player is holding the correct book. That way they COULD type the scores in chat but it will do nothing beneficial to them.
With that said: Here is a preview of one of the basic fire spells: Fire Breath.
even just 20 could create lag, because that will not be the only thing occurring, boss mobs will be spawning around and particle effects will be everywhere.
I used to have a server called Kingdom Craft but after I didn't pay the monthly bill for 1 month(I didn't know this would happen and I had lots of work), it deleted my world and server. So I am going to slowly remake it but even better. Hence the KingdomCraft (RELOADED)
I can't wait to see you on the server
Any suggestions for items or features can be posted here as well.

How's the map going so far?
I just accidentally loaded it in 1.8, not snapshot. D; Im crying
BUT I was able to save the city spawn and put it on another world. I will still work on it, but that was a minor setback.
You should add spells; They would work kinda the same as an NPC, and it would be really awesome if you added them

Thanks rsmalec I would love to have you on the server once it is up
Wait, wait wait, Why don't you just use sheep then with dyes?
=_= Its the SAME thing as with villagers. The excess number of sheep teleporting to players will lag the server.
It depends, cause come on, You won't have millions of people on your server

Wait, is the server out yet? If so, could I be whitelisted?
No it is not because I dont have enough done on it and I dont want to run any risks using the new snapshot on a server
But when it is I will whitelist you
Yay. I was just wondering what you guys were talking about.

Just a quick tip:
Use trigger commands for the spells and other clickEvents!
You don't want to be using regular commands using clickEvents to then just figure out that they cannot execute the command if they are not opped!
