That like 4.992 km by 4.992 km the whole map (if you don't know the length and width of a minecraft block is 1 meter) so if most of it is ocean then you make islands or use it for upcoming wither 3 expansion coming out later this year and the next but if the player try to go out of the map will the player be stop by mountains or be teleported back or will be allowed to go out of the map?
Usamathebest11,I'm thinking of putting some very strong aquatic and flying mobs in places where the sea is not to exceed, mobs that are impossible to defeat, I will also put warnings that will not be possible to overcome the sea to some extent, the routes to reach the islands will be safe these strong mobs. And the mountains will make an invisible wall in the tops.
Usamathebest11,I will take to finish this map, I'm building Maribor and after I finish building this city I'll do pause to start another smaller project in minecraft, but a long way from the map of the witcher finish.
Xagonal, that's exactly what I intend to do, I'll put mobs to patrol the map boundaries, is a group of very strong mobs, if you are strong enough you may be able to kill one or two mobs of the group, but will probably die later, this way the player understands that you can not overcome that limit but also is not frustrated by not manage to kill those mobs. I hope you have understood, my English is not good. Thanks for the comment.
This looks great! One tip for your cities, though: Try to use a ton of random materials. Cities in the Witcher are a sprawling mass of shacks to palaces, and if you, say, use 4 different wood types for a wall of a house, then bricks, stone bricks, wood, etc. for the roof, it will look more realistic. Plus, roads always look best with at least 3 materials-the more the merrier.
An example can be found in Lord Dakr's server. Find it here:
Then use the commands in the description: first /warp P- , then /p h ProfQuak .
97% of teenagers would cry if they saw Justin Bieber on top of a tower
about to jump. If you're the 3% who is sitting there with popcorn
screaming "DO A BACKFLIP", copy and paste this as your signature.

Glok4, I've got little time to keep making the map. I've done Nastrog, Rozrog, I am now building Bodrog. When I finish building Bodrog I'll post as it was.
I have a server up and running. I'm putting together a witcher style modpack and that's going to be on the server, thinking of putting this map on the server too.
Hello, if you would be interested, I could possibly help you create your map a adventure map with redstone & command blocks. I am skilled with command blocks and could be able to make your map alive. PM me if you are interested.

So your basically going to put OP elder guardians to make sure that people can't overcome the sea and when are planning to finish this map

It doesn't have to be elder guardians.
I would actually recommend s/he make a few custom mobs to patrol the water as well, adds more variety

Have fun!
Dioniamaster101, Thanks for the tip, when I come back to give more details in the cities I will vary more textures.
No problem. I'm very skilled at building, so if you ever need help pm me.
How is this going?

Is this project still being worked on?
I have a server up and running. I'm putting together a witcher style modpack and that's going to be on the server, thinking of putting this map on the server too.
Is this project dead or hold indefinitely?
