Just thought I'd give a quick update and say the final area is finally complete! That means all that is left now is the final boss, a test run through of the map, fix any major issues that come up and then it's finally open beta time! Unfortunately I don't think it will be done on the 20th like I would of hoped, instead I'd say it will probably take a week longer so expect it be out sometime around the 27th. Until then here, have another random screenshot =)
Open beta is not too much further away now! And apparently I'm pretty bad with time estimates there, sorry, had some irl things I had to attend to for a few days there and wasn't expecting the last boss to take so long to develop but it surely is an epic and intense fight! ^.^ All that I have left to do now is do a test run through of the map, fix any glaring issues, and do up the official forum post.

Some rather annoying news as soon as I finished doing the credits and completed the map as far as alpha goes, a random bat stepped on a pressure plate and turned me to survival mode, and another bat hit another pressure plate and teleported me into the void. -.- The amount of times I have gotten trolled or killed by bats stepping on pressure plates is nuts! I figured setting up a clock to kill them all would be enough but nope lol. Fortunately I just found out part of the problem, bats can step on iron pressure plates but not stone so yeah, first beta bug to fix.
Anyway, open beta "should" be in one week, two weeks probably in the worst case scenario. Onwards to testing for me!
Wooo, testing is finally complete, not much longer at all until everything is done! I have around 100 little mini fixes to do which really shouldn't take that long. Some fun/annoying bugs I've encountered include custom spawners vanishing from this one area (for like the 3rd time), skeletons riding blazes are a bit broken in that blazes will try and shoot you but end up hitting the skeleton instead, and probably the most frustrating bug of all is around 15-20 hopper clocks have stopped working either by the item inside glitching in and out of the hopper at super speeds or the items inside being duplicated. (And yes, both the hoppers are in the same chunk) That hopper clock bug is probably going to be the most annoying bug of them all to try and fix x.x
All the issues that have come up during my quick test have been fixed, which means the map is ready to be released in open beta finally! I'll be doing up the official forum post and download and everything on Friday which gives me a day here to make sure I'm not missing anything and everything is ready. So woo, little over 24 hours to go assuming nothing big all of a sudden comes up out of no where! =)
