The closest Minecraft Watch Dogs map to the real thing!
Mission: To build a Watch Dogs Recreation in Minecraft, that is realistic to Watch Dogs, but staying Completely Vanilla.
As Ubisoft, developers of Watch_Dogs explains: "Set in Chicago, where a central network of computers connects everyone and everything, Watch_Dogs explores the impact of technology within our society. Using the city as your weapon, you will embark on a personal mission to inflict your own brand of justice.
Chicago's overarching network is known as the Central Operating System (ctOS), and it controls almost all of the city's technology and information - including key data on all of the city's residents.
You play as Aiden Pearce, a brilliant hacker and former thug, whose criminal past led to a violent family tragedy. While seeking justice for those events, you'll monitor and hack those around you by manipulating the ctOS from the palm of your hand. You'll access omnipresent security cameras, download personal information to locate a target, control traffic lights and public transportation to stop the enemy... and more."
In our Recreation, you'll be able to hop from camera to camera, viewing things from a distance. You'll be able to use citizens bank accounts to steal money from ATMs. You can view citizens personal data, from your profiler; the device Aiden uses to achieve control of ctOS.
You can control bridges. You can buy guns from stores around the city, then use them to kill civilians or Criminals you catch. Be careful though, because if you do, you may trigger a police chase. You can buy and use grenades, and IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices), and you can also use lures to distract guards while you sneak away. Play missions in the map just like they are in the game... down to the details and dialogue. Go on unique "Digital Trips"; where Aiden experiences "temporary virtual games in his head." All of this and more is possible in our realistic replica of Watch Dogs, built completely in Vanilla from the ground up to create the perfect open world adventure map.
Activities and hacks possible:
Control CCTV Cameras, and hop between them to view the city from a distance
Hack ATMs and steal citizens money from their bank accounts
Hack bridges, stopping the police from going across.
Create cover and diversions by controlling different elements of the landscape.
Explore Chicago faster by driving a car.
Buy guns, explosives, lures and more in many shops located throughout the city.
Play a close replica of the missions in the actual game, down to the dialogue and details.
Explore an almost exact recreation of the Watch Dogs terrain, built in Minecraft.
Explore all 6 districts from the game, with unique landscapes and buildings.
Hack the many citizens located throughout the city, and view their personal details using your Profiler.
Play fun side missions to enhance your experience.
Play "Digital Trips", virtual games Aiden can experience.
Hack the L'; Train to use Fast Travel.
Hack ctOS Data Centers in each District, which enables profiling citizens and more hacks.
Cause massive blackouts throughout the city by crafting "blackouts", and use it to escape the cops easily.
Flee the cops who will chase you after committing crimes such as shooting citizens.
View your in-game map to locate your next mission, side missions, Digital Trips and more.
Buy items (such as guns, explosives, lures etc...) in Shops located throughout the city.
Keep track of your Reputation, killing civilians will cause it to drop, stopping criminals will cause it to increase.
View cut scenes similar to the actual game, which use teleporting to make characters walk around. Players view the scene in 3rd person (the player does not take part in the cut scenes, mobs enact the cut scenes.)
Experience everything our map has to offer and much much more!!
Since building the entire city would take too long for you to get to play it soon, we decided to use some buildings that we didn't build; that other people built. We will include a list of links to the projects and schematics used in this map.
One of the best features of our map is our usage of the new 1.8 mechanics, creating new opportunities that were not possible before. Also, everything in this map is completely Vanilla, since we don't believe in cheating by using Bukkit.
This map is the first project by our Map Making Team; The Z Team. We have 11 active members, from around the US and the world. Inside of our team, we have two different sub-teams. We have the Mechanics Team, and the Build Team. The Mechanics Team is run by naor2013, our master Command Block/Redstone guy. Many of our ideas on how to do the mechanics in the map come from him The Mechanics team makes all of the mechanics, such as hackable objects and the story mechanics, such as making dialogue and cut scenes. Zev613 runs our Build Team, (so is in charge of building the map, interiors and such). He is also the leader of The Z Team. We are really excited to release this map in September, and we hope you are too!!!!
We will be recording a Developer Series on Youtube, showcasing how we created the city and mechanics. The videos will be released on our Youtube Channel, (we will post a link once we release the first video). We'll be releasing the videos throughout the summer, but mainly during the month of August. We will also be releasing a trailer during August. Videos:
(Coming Soon!!)
Our Team is working really hard to complete this map and release it, but it will probably take us until September to release this map, so we thank you for being patient. We'll be posting pictures and occasional videos through the summer to keep you posted about development. They will also showcase what is possible in our adventure map. Pictures (Coming Soon!):

Okay:
1) Things like CCTV will just be impossible - be more realist.
2) To recreate all of this you're biting off way more than you can chew. Watchdogs was made with 77 million pounds and proffesionals over years. You are a minecraft/watchdogs enthusiast and any replication you try to make on your own will either be not very good or take years of game time.
3) This is the type of map that fizzles out as their is no creativity, and admiration of a game can only last so long. You need to make a map that is personal to you for it to continue otherwise you'll just get bored.
1) We already have the CCTV working! Don't worry! We're very realist!
2) It may take a while but we have a lot of good builders who are working a lot of time to make as much of the map as they can! If it would take too long we'll make a smaller version but we're trying to do it as big as we can!
3) We're making it since October 2013! (With a little break in the middle... :D) And we really love the game! So trust me, we won't get bored at all! And it does have a lot of creativity! We're thinking about how to make the mechanics as good as we can, making the map as big as we can and making the map as exciting as we can!
I agree it will take a while and it won't be exactly as the real game but we're making it as good as we can, as beautiful as we can and as fast as we can!
We already built a good amount of mechanics. in our old map before we decided to make the map an exact replica of the terrain. We also have a team of around 5 builders, 5 mechanics designers. We've given each builder a district to be in charge of overseeing projects in, so it won't take as long. We split up the work, so it goes faster.

Okay guys, this ISN'T an idea. We've already made a good number of the mechanics!! The map is almost not done, but that's because we had to start again. He have some buildings from the old map. We still haven't started the story, but that will be relatively easy after you can hack everything, and the map is complete.
But thanks for the support.

We'll first finish the main mechanics (I hope it will be soon) and then we'll make a youtube series that shows the mechanics and how they work... About the map, We're now making the map from scratch, So we have nothing to show about that but we have a big team so we'll do it as quickly as we can!
Adding onto what naor said, we had a large amount of the map, but scrapped it because it wasn't very good. Now, we are starting with a replica terrain map, and we'll be building it district by district, from the ground up. We still have some buildings from the old map. We'll be using some schematics to build it, but a lot of it will be built by hand or using mcedit/worldedit to build skyscrapers and suchThe only thing on that list that we don't know how we will do yet is Reputation. We're not sure if that will be included. Naor may already know how he'll do it though.

He didn't mean to, he posted something, but then he joined the team so we asked him to delete it, because there was a misunderstanding.

1) I didn't realise amount of people behind the map.
2) Don't Type With Capitals At The Front Of Every Damn Word Because It's Just Awful
3) Ok, makes sense zev.
We have 14 people working on this map (edited)
about 1/2 are mechanics team, 1/2 are building team. Each builder has a district they are in charge of laying out plans for, and building most of.
We already have almost the entire street layout for The Loop. We'll have the streets built for all of the districts by next week. (added)

Just adding on to that and fixing some stuff we have 14 people in the ZTeam currently. The rest of what he said is true. For the mechanics team such as I we also have different things to do such as hacking bridges and so on.

CCTV view isn't impossible. It is however quite complicated to create (somehow I made a solution in 30 secs for this ). For CCTV you could:
#1. Use the spectator game mode in 1.8
#2. Have a command block connected to an ultra quick redstone clock that ensures you don't move around the place and cheat and...
#3. You could use the /tp ~ ~ ~ [looking position X] [looking position Y] to make the player face different positions.
This is just an outline for the idea of CCTV but I've already found a problem: If you are planning to make thousands of cameras this will take forever to do and it will as a result severely lag the game. Hope this works though!
If you do need more help with redstone/commands then I would be happy to help you.

We already made the CCTV in a different way in which making new cameras is really easy and is not that laggy, but thanks for your help! I don't think we need more redstone and command block help but if we'll need some I'll PM you!
