Is there anyone out there who has the time, interest and patience to recreate the Glass Tower and Peerless Building from the 1974 disaster film, The Towering Inferno? Has anyone considered or is considering building it?
Miniature models used in the Film. The Buildings are a facade showing only one side. Models made later on would attempt to show what the backside of the building looks like.
You don't have to make it yellow like the model since they changed in the movie so it wouldn't stick out in the composites.
The Build should just be mostly an exterior build only, with fake rooms/alcoves as with the filming model so the facade exterior doesn't look entirely flat. Although there are no blueprints, certain set seen in the movie would be built inside and at the corresponding floors either mentioned in dialogue or seen on floor numbers on each set/filming location. Rooms such as the Promenade Room on the 135th Floor and the 65th Floor Lobby and Offices. This would only work if you have a copy of the movie,I already have one. Might have to acquire it online for some.
The building has a total of 138 floors and is 1,652 feet.tall. You don't have to follow the exact scaling, Just scale it on the basis that each floor's ceiling height being 4 blocks tall. Same process should be done for the Peerless Building. Use superflats to extend build height.
