I've made a massive map for building cities and naval vessels with my friend and i've already made all the adjustments to the map that i needed, but the one thing i cant get is how to make an infinite water border on the map.
My friend made his own world and he told me he got a water border and it worked just fine. I've tried changing the border option to water and putting in the same level as the ocean in the map, i've tried changing the seed to just 4 and i've tried changing the gamemode without results.
What am i doing wrong here, because it seems like it would just take a couple of clicks and its done, but worldpainter is making it seem like rocket science.
(when the world gets loaded into minecraft, the border just cuts from the map ocean to superflat)

no, i made the world from a heightmap. I dont know anything about having to make a custom world first then placing my map over the world, but is there a way i can do that?
Edit: im also playing 1.7.10, so no customized worlds, just customized superflats

put up a giant bedrock wall?
I guess it sucks you didn't chose a custom world with only ocean biome, but its too late for that.
