Now a lot of people think maps must be in the same version that your minecraft is in to work. However this is not nesscerally true as I have gotten plenty of 1.7, 1.8 maps to work in my Minecraft 1.10 version. Some are a little broken due to command changes but many work fine and don't corrupt your saved file or .minecraft file. If you don't know how to get maps here's instructions...
1. Download the map.
2. In downloads extract the file.
3. In the Windows search tab (for Windows ten it's the one that says hi I'm cortana) search %appdata%
4. Click on .minecraft
5. Click on saves
6. Copy your extracted map file into the saves file.
