Strawberry Jam #11 is coming soon, dates are in the OP!
The theme is... The Graveyard The Burial Ground. Create a map that makes use of a resting place as it's central theme. Dig into ancient crypts, battle through hordes of monsters between gravestones, and more! Be creative, but make sure to keep your players in the graves!
This is an awful theme and is so extremely specific. Most of us in the discord chat have discussed wanting to do a theme that will spark more creativity such as phobia.
I have to agree with Ty. The best themes have been the ones that are vague enough that you can get a lot of different types of maps but still force people to think about how to incorporate the theme. Countdown comes to mind as a really good theme that was done in the past.
Edit: I take it back, I've actually thought of some ideas for it. I suppose it isn't a terrible theme.
In Horizon's Edge, you play as a stranded airship captain who must reclaim their ship and go on to collect the Treasure Crystals. Can you also find your lost crew?
I also had a chance to fly through the other maps.
Tomb Exploration CTM:
I played through but I think the combat area is broken. I killed everything and didn't get the last objective.
Other than that, I'd recommend practicing more with your tools and playing more maps to get a better feel for how they should play. It is always good to see new participants in the jam though, so I hope to see another map from you in the next one!
Stolen Souls
Flying through it seemed like there were a lot of mobs, but it may play differently and I also think you mentioned you were changing spawners in the discord chat. I liked a lot of your aesthetics though, especially your interiors, and I also like what you did with the objectives.

I'm impressed with how large the map is considering the time frame. I also really liked the monument area and the ssecond area with all of the water and earth bridges. I think you could give out a pick a little earlier though since I got to a sign that said dig before I even had a pick. It also seemed like there was a really short delay on some of the spawners, but I could be wrong. Overall (keeping in mind I flew through most of it) I liked the look and feel of the map, and the parkour area was neat-o
I'm looking forward to seeing the submissions for waves 2 and 3!
Heartbroken. Yeah, I've had an idea for a small map for a while now that could work with this. Not sure yet what wave I will be doing, but count me in.
...and on the front post I assume you meant February 3-5 and not 3-4.
As it says you should declare your intent to participate, I am writing this to say I will most likely participate (maybe in the first wave). Very interesting theme!
EDIT: Unfortunately, I won't be able to participate in the first wave. Hopefully, the second.

I only found out about this jam after the end of the previous one, and I've been looking forward to entering the next round since then. I'll probably be in the second wave, but I've got a couple of ideas brewing already and I must say I'm excited to participate!

For anyone who doesn't know yet, I made a short cinematic clip for the maps in this jam!
And I also made one for the 7th jam, just look it up on my channel
It has been a whole month now

Slight theme adjustment to open things up a bit - Burial Ground
I too agree that synonyms make everything better.
At least 10% of the time.
So I guess I'll be stretching this theme quite a bit...

This map is for 1.10.

I went ahead and made some renders of my jam map:

Google doc in the OP has been updated with the Jam #11 maps (as few as there were). Enjoy
Jam #12 has been announced!
