You could use the new title feature for the ITS ME and maybe for each camera
I was thinking something like teleportation thingies that would put you inside barrier blocks in each room, and a button to go back. The title thing is a good idea, and maybe I could retexture it to Freddy's face >:D

I would LOVE to see this happen, though i'm terrible at redstone and whatnot, but the game freaked me out so much that this would be an amazing alternative. I really hope someone would make an actual mod for this
I've actually began working on a Five Nights at Freddy's map that uses a majority of features in the 1.8 update. So far, the 'cameras' work and the animatronic armor stands move randomly. All that's left to do is add the death scene and make the power system work. It also uses a resource pack , so yay, more jump scares. Can't promise when it'll be released though.
The only downside to them moving randomly is that you can't get the exact positions. (E.G. The specific spots they stand in.) I suggested having a FN@F's map jam, where everyone posts their version. Anyway, I'd love to see it!

This idea has my full support. I would love to see something like this being done in Minecraft, especially since horror maps are my personal favourite.
Mein freaking gut. (I know those words don't mean what i want them to mean, but you get it.)
My first ever successful attempt at creating a thread that lived for more than a day. I would like to thank everybody who even considered working on this project. Especially Hellsong and Honeylilly.
I feel like this might actually become something. While i cannot really build things this scale, i do have the brains to give ideas, and i have some based on what i heard from you guys so far.
First off: Cameras.
This is not really an usable idea, but we can make something out of it. I think simply. I think plain. I think maps for the rooms with coloured blocks representing a robot's presence. Making the individual rooms might be fun, but there's no way to quick-toggle between cameras that way. Except for the security rooms and the ends of the hallways, because of the freddie poster and the robots' heads spazzing out.
Foxy:
We obviously need the running sound, so we can close the door before he gets there. He very easily could just be a retextured zombie with speed and strenght. (That reminds me, we could make the backstage just to show players the stuffed-in guard.) Or maybe he could just be a strengthened zombie that spawns a bit away from you when he's done charging. Same with other robots at your door.
For power, i think the experience bar is perfect. This way you have a little more insight as to when you get down to the next percentage.
Door could easily be just plain retextured iron doors with a reversed redstone signal that closes upon flicking a lever. But i have no idea how commands work, so i don't know how to make it so that a flicked lever/closed door drains power. Same with lights. (Really liking the idea of using sea lanterns, we could retextures redstone lamps to look like them.)
The messages are really easily can just be music discs. (But we need the sound files from the game for that.)
Also, i would like to say that robots never directly face you, except Foxy and our favourite bear.

You've taken my worst nightmare and made it into minecraft...... WHYYYYYYY!?!?!?!?!?
Alright, so all that remains for me to do is set up the night timer and power system. However, I've been getting peculiar amounts of lag so as a warning now it is very, very unlikely that the map timings will be totally configured correctly on the release day (which I'm guessing will be about two nights from now). If anyone here could help me out by testing the completed version before I properly put the map out there, that'd be great.

Maybe you could call this 'Five Nights at Notch's' where Mob animatronics go mad if you want to make it 99% minecraftish. But very nice job on the map!

You should create a flatland map on a BUKKIT server and set griefing to false, post the I.p and let everyone here contribute to the build. Set a max players of 20. You could then upload the server map to Planet MC and let us download as we wish. Also, good ideas everyone. If you don't make the server, I could always make a map too and you could chose the best parts and combine everyones's.
