Well, I can tell you right off the bat you haven't downloaded anything off adfly but viruses. Mediafire is the main service most of us use, although I and a few others prefer Fileswap, as it's cleaner and easier to use, with the downside of being a bit slower.
(Clarification: adfly is an ads service that allows content creators to make money off of their work by putting ads before a download link, so you really aren't downloading anything from it, just the file-sharing site behind it.)
Well, the confusion is certainly understandable if, say, the link past the adfly page is actually the direct download, so that clicking "skip ad" actually downloads the file immediately.
But yeah, I use MediaFire, some people use FileSwap, and a few actually use Dropbox.
In other news, I'm still unavailable this weekend. I *will* be creating a map using the theme for the jam on the weekend afterwards, though.

Hey there, all. I stream CTMs as well as other indie games, Minecraft servers and probably that's it. I'm your supreme overlord too so I command you to CHECK ME OUT: www.twitch.tv/techniclepanther
I'll be closing the poll and announcing the winner at Midnight GMT tonight, that's 8PM EST for most of us. From there, your local time will become the standard time zone for you to work inside of. You will have from 12:01 AM Friday morning to 11:59 PM Sunday night to complete your minimap.
This means we will have some people finishing their maps a few hours before others, which isn't really a problem. If there are any scheduling issues I'm overlooking here, or if something doesn't make sense, let me know.
It doesn't explicitly lay this out in the rules, so I thought I'd check. If we're running a livestream may we put a link in here to, say, our twitch channel at the beginning of the stream? Or should we only post links to videos on finished products here?
Also, update on my last post: At present we're hoping to do this. Based on my teammate's and my prior work together, my main concern is that our time management has not typically been fantastic. But I'm hoping world edit will help alleviate some of that, based on playing around with it a little yesterday.

Feel free to post your livestreams here. I'm still not sure how I feel about people who are participating also watching streams, but I guess I'll just let it slide, since there's no real way to restrict people on what they watch.
Also, just to clarify with you, you know that when working with teams you're required to make a map with three objectives per-person who's participating? Just so you guys don't make a three-wool map and find out later you needed to make a six-wool map.

Oh, yes. That's actually one reason I WANTED a partner. With three blocks in a CTM map... I dunno. Even if they're, say, lapis, diamond, and emerald blocks, it just doesn't feel all that impressive, you know? I could try to push for 6 or up alone, of course, but easier to bring him in on it, I think. As long as we don't wander too far off into the command-block-intensive weeds, we should be okay.
I can barely control my hype. This is excruciating. As far as the themes go, I'm hoping for Opposites Collide or Journey. In fact, I actually have the same map idea for both of them. As I am in high school and therefore must go to school on Friday, I'll be starting significantly later than many people (probably around 4:30-5 PM), but I'm still really looking forward to this!
Now to just wait a few more hours for the theme... gah...
Edit: I just realized I'm starting to get close to 1000 posts. Maybe I'll try to control my posts enough to have post 1000 be my submission.
I've prepared a small schematic in advance to provide a starting area and a bunch of command blocks that will drive the map:
When the button is pushed, the player(s) will be sent to the map proper (which currently doesn't exist). This system will then notify the player(s) when a wool has been brought to the victory monument. When all have been brought back, it will announce victory and reveal how many seconds it took to complete the map.
Looks pretty cool. My only concern is that I'm not too sure that's technically *cough* allowed to be made yet, as the actual building phase hasn't started.
That being said, I really liked your map last jam, so I'm looking forward to whatever you come up with for this one.
It's a three-way tie between Apocalypse, Journey, and Opposites Collide.
O_o
I like really don't know what to do about this. Should I start another smaller poll and run it for a couple hours and the winner of that is the theme? Have all the themes be potentials for the Jam, or what?
I knew it was gonna be close but I stopped myself from checking the results for the past day. XD
Well, I'll be honest. I don't know. Let's look at some positives and negatives of some possible solutions:
Smaller poll:
+ Would be able to stick to one theme instead of choosing three, which would make it a little more, uh... jammy.
- I'm really not sure how many people would actually check this thread and vote during the time the poll is up.
All three themes used:
+ Would please more people.
- Might be too broad...
Would result in a wider variety of entries (could be good or bad)
A few possible alternatives that I just came up with on the spot:
- Use all three themes, but require the map to fit more than one of them (Probably biased considering that I already have one idea that fits two of them).
- Choose the theme yourself from the three that are tied.
- Get Fangride to lock this thread and slowly back away into the shadows, ashamed by the poll's incompetence.
Because this is something I'd use for pretty much any CTM map, if I made any others, and I used a similar one last time.
See, I figured that when you posted. And in your position, if I had done a few of these before and had a kit, I'd absolutely use it because... well, why reinvent the wheel? But for us, developing that stuff is going to be part of our personal challenge. In addition to which, we're a lot less experienced, so I don't think we can afford to be as ambitious if we want to finish on time.

Among my game developer friends, I've seen game jam themes settled this way and turn out pretty well. But, for the record, I would vote if you posted a new poll immediately, too. It's likely, though, that enough people would miss the post as to feel kinda railroaded.
Honestly, you could probably get away with picking it yourself, if you use some fair but arbitrary method... like rolling a die and assigning each of the three two numbers, or drawing a theme from a hat.
Easy! use an online randomizer to pick the theme if they're all equally liked it won't make much difference if its random, plus it'll add a little more unexpectedness to it, being totally outta the blue instead of based on votes
Okay, I have randomized the themes, and the winner is...

I'm in.
I am thinking of some kind of open-world map with lots of places to explore. Perhaps a 'Reverse CTM' style map which involves placing the wool back in the fleecy boxes?

Are you new around here? I haven't seen you before. Anyway, it's best to keep your idea's for yourself and not share them with others who are participating or ask for feedback on them. Because you already posted that, yes it sounds like a pretty good idea.
