I loved inferno mines BESIDES the loot system. The loot system was terrible and should have been tested first. Also Savage Realm is much harder than lush ruins. I didn't find lush ruins all that difficult if you grind out all the loot in the minecart chests in Hane's Disgrace

Isn't it a bit strange to compare a full CTM to a single area? I do agree though, I have no doubt Inferno Mines would have been FAR better if he had just gone for a more traditional loot system. Random loot never really works, and when it does it doesn't really work well. There's just something far more satisfying about punching a sand block off the top of a chest, knowing you'll get unique loot. IM has that, but not really in stunning quantity or quality. I still do think it's a great map, but that's just my opinion. And yeah, I think people who thought Lush Ruins was hard never took advantage of farming the carts. My favorite thing was setting up an automated rail line to move the carts from Lower Mines to my I1 base without me having to do anything. That made me feel amazing, and Unb. 3 books FTW.
Are you playing in the right version? I never played kaizo before beta 1.8 the map was crazy. I did see OOGE play the map though, all of it, twice in fact. So much comedy. Anyways I think I have to replay the map but since I know everything it is going to be easy.
I've played Kaizo in both the updated 1.2 version (with potions and enchants, plus some balancing changes) and the old beta version, both on Hard. IMO the beta version is obviously harder, but neither are anything to write home about. It was quite funny watching OOGE wade through it, though.
I had almost beaten Nightmare Realms. I was doing red wool last. When I got to the wool room, it was already blown up. However, I couldn't find the tunnel to the alternate wool, so I thought I had literally just lost the map, for whatever reason. I deleted the map, and then watched Joe Hills' video. I loaded up a new version of the map, and hacked in all the wool. The end.

Hey there, all. I stream CTMs as well as other indie games, Minecraft servers and probably that's it. I'm your supreme overlord too so I command you to CHECK ME OUT: www.twitch.tv/techniclepanther
Dragonstone Keep. That map was so much fun to play through all those times, learning what to do and what not to do. The bonus dungeons with the extra loot were so much fun, and really added to the experience. Probably my favorite moment was when my brain clicked for what I had to do to conquer it. It was such a well designed map.
Ooo a good community question. Mine would have to be vinyl fantasy II with the cave full of ores and stuff (forgot the area name but it was in the end) I can't say everything that happened but let's just say I invited a friend over to help and hilarity in sued.
I recently started playing my first CTM map, All in a Nutshell, and I'd say it's a pretty good beginner map since the areas aren't that long and not too difficult, while still being a challenge. I have 5 deaths (3 to OP witches), and I'm on the last intersection. It has a good difficulty curve, and it's a lot of fun to go through the areas.
The only part which made me want to ragequit was the nether-themed area in Intersection 3, there were some nasty things in there.
What is the name of the map? Only map I know that has Op witches and a intersection is Inferno mines.
He said it. All in a Nutshell, by The Sketch. A totally amazing map made in merely 2 days. And the witches weren't OP in IM, did you play through the whole map with only a wood sword?
In intersection 3, the nether-themed area (I can't remember the name) inside the tower there were plenty of witch spawners. As I said, it's my first map, so I didn't know how to deal with them, but I had a sharp 1 iron sword and good iron armor. Maybe "OP" wasn't a good word, but they were really tough to deal with.

I recently just completed Pantheon and Minimalist. Can someone recommend me a map that came out recently?
Maps that come to mind are Terra restore, Savage Realm, and Simulation Protocol III
#pcmasterrace
Thanks!
I guess it s a typo, but to be sure: SP 03 still in Dev
SP 02 is the current one
Ah yes it is a typo. I just started playing Simulation protocol II today, so I guess my brain thought there is a next map that's already out.

If you've got the time, Savage Realm is IMO the best modern CTM out there.
Looks good but I would make a thread if you don't have one already and a lot more people will play!

Are you talking about the witches in the map or regular minecraft spawned witches?

It looks good, I'm excited to see where this map goes! Krose, pls. Not the wither water. Pls, anything but the wither water. NOOO!
